I wear these to the gym each morning, and they work very well for general exercise both resistance training, aerobic work and calisthenics.

1. They have a liner, which I greatly prefer. Helps keep the moving parts in place.

2. They are very light and very breathable.

3. The two front/side pockets have a nice little velcro closure that keeps my bluetooth dongle in place, even when doing jump squats, jumping rope, or jumping jacks. Nice!

I''ve got two pairs of them now, and am very happy with them.

First, these shorts fit very small. You will need to order one size up. But my main beef with them is the size of the four pockets: they are just too small to hold much. I ordered them for long adventure runs, to carry bars, gels, etc, but the pockets are too small for anything more than your car keys. The shorts seem well made and they are a great design: the pockets are well positioned and if they were just deeper they would be excellent. Other reviewers have made the same points I guess I should have listened to them. Oh well, live and don''t learn.

Was looking for shorts with two side pockets and a zippered back pocket for plenty of storage for long runs. The side pockets have velcro which is nice. The big draw back is that all of the pockets are pretty small. Would like it more if at least the side pockets were bigger.

Despite a thin build, I have problems with chaffing when I run double digit miles, so I have to cut the built-in liner out. I wear 9 inch inseam sport briefs underneath, but even so there is a definite light and airy feel to these shorts.

The fabric and fit are nice (the nicest fabric of any of my shorts), but if you are looking for pockets, look elsewhere. There are 4 pockets. 2 on the side and 2 in the back. The 2 on the side are exceptionally shallow. If you stick your hand in, you get the first two joints in and partway to the knuckles. there is room for a key and a fob but not for a ring of keys. WAY too shallow for a phone. Or a wallet. Practically the side pockets are good for transporting lint. Or an oreo cookie.

The ones in the back are also shallow. I was barely able to get my phone in and had to stretch the fabric to zip the pocket. Am returning this.
