Altus Athletic 2-in-1 Boxercise Combo Weighted Gloves and Speed Jump Rope

These gloves and jump rope were exactly what I was hoping for. I got them mainly for the gloves, and I use them when I play a Wii cardio boxing game. The velcro is strong and the gloves do not move around on your hand when you punch. I was worried the jump rope might not fit me, as a length was not given, however I was pleased to discover that it was the perfect size for my height (I am 5''6").

I recommend this set and would buy it again.

It''s not designed very well. I got these for Turbo kick boxing. I also have the wrist waits w/ the thumb holder but those become loose so I got these because the weights are at the back of your hand and there''s finger holders so it won''t slide. Great concept EXCEPT the Velcro part is pretty cheap material and the placement is not at your wrist but at the bottom of your palm. It''s pretty annoying, you''ll have to hold a fist at all times for it sort of not slide. It works... but I''ll be looking for better ones.

I have used these once a week for the past six months. At the beginning they fit very well. Overtime, they became very stretched out and began to rub on my knuckles. The sand gathers towards the outside pocket of the glove, making the weight uneven. The Velcro has ripped; I tried to sew the small tear, which held for a while, but it only ripped more several weeks later. I will be throwing them away and looking for another brand. Seems like they should last more than 6 months.

I think the product lives up to its description. Once you put the gloves on correctly, they don''t move around. I use these gloves with cardio kickboxing and they are perfect. The jump rope is very sturdy, I''m 5 6, and it has been perfect for me. Great investment!
