The Rack Pro Push-Ups Equipment

The Rack Pro Push-Ups EquipmentWhile assembling the Rack, one of the screw locks to lock the wheel in place would not go in despite some forced used to hand twist it. The other 3 wheel locks screwed in smoothly without a hitch. Everything was assembled except for this piece.

I called the customer line and described the problem. The guy immediately said I didn''t assemble it correctly. He didn''t even bother to ask if the rest of the machine was assembled. He outright assumed it was user error. I proceeded to tell him that the 3 other screw locks screwed in fine with no problems. He put me on hold and looked through his trouble shooting script and suggested several solutions. I eventually hung up when none of his solutions worked. I looked through the warranty book and it states that a $29.99 check is required to send the machine back to fix under their Manufacture Warranty. You would think a reputable company who wants to keep their customers would fix the problem for free, especially if they sent a broken product!

I home remedied the problem by grabbing a spare screw that matched the size and threading of the screw lock. I used a socket wrench and forced the spare screw all the way through. Luckily it cleared out what was preventing the screw lock from going in. The original screw lock locks the wheel now but with some tension when screwing it in, unlike the other 3 which screw in smoothly. In the end this machine has a lot of promise. You just better pray that you get one that is free of defects, otherwise you get to do the quality control for this company and shell out $30 if you get a bad one.

Im knocking off 3 stars. 1 for bad customer service, 1 for sending a broken item, and 1 for requiring customers to pay shipping to fix their broken product.
