i know, it sounds impossible. how could they do such a thing? but it''s true. and i tried. and it gets REALLY frustrating.
thanks to previous commenters, i expected that would happen. i would highly discourage purchasing this item UNLESS a new version is released with a better-formatted DVD.

Ok, once you get past the cheesiness of the instructor, and the horrid clothes they are all wearing, these exercises are great! I can tell a difference in my body in only 4-5 hours of doing the video. Something I was extremely skeptical about, but after doing it myself and seeing results, I''ll watch that cheesy lady as much as I need to! (Once you get to know how to do the exercises without her explanations, you can just mute it and use the video for the counters provided.) I like the fact that it is broken up into two manageable segments, and if you want a longer workout, do both. But as a mom that works part time, I just couldn''t always find time to do the 1 hour video. The deep muscle exercises are great and you''ll feel it the next day. I don''t do this nearly as often as I should, but I love the quick results when I do!I was injured in two different car accidents within a year and ended up with Fibromyalgia. My physical therapist told me about Callanetics..and guess what? IT worked so well, my fibromyalgia went into remission. I can''t, of course, say that this is the only reason, but it''s the best thing I ever did for myself. Now, 30 years later, I am in pain again and am reordering. Yes, you can easily use a low back chair, or a sofa back or arm, instead of a bar. I still have the chair I used then. I ordered the two-pack CDs and cannot wait til they get here to re-start my body. Pickney Callan had fibromyalgia and ended up doing phenomenally well with these exercises. My motto is, if she can, I can.
