I agree with R. Lee and Margaret O''Meara''s reviews. I have used trainers and rollers, but this is a much better alternative. The bike is stable, smooth and very quiet. Setup was straightforward and operation is easy. It is easily adjustable and comfortable. I have been able to match the fit of my road bike. My wife and son now use the CycleOps 300 too, and the adjustment between riders takes only seconds. Maintenance has been minimal and easy. I have now logged over 1000 (stationary) miles in the 3 months that I have had the CycleOps 300. I have come to appreciate the concept of training with energy and power measurements. When I have been able to get out on the road this winter, I have found that my indoor training has made me a stronger rider that I was last summer after logging a few thousand miles, even with the cold wind blowing at me. The CycleOps doesn''t beat a vigorous early morning ride during the spring, summer or fall, but it is a great alternative in the winter helping fight off the doldrums! I look forward to riding after work when it''s dark outside and on weekends when it''s cold outside. Last winter, I rode outside even in the 20s and 30s. Now, with this convenient alternative, I wait for the 40s and 50s. I really like the way the CycleOps 300 makes me feel during and after a session of riding. I anticipate that I will continue to use the CycleOps 300 all year round to maintain the fitness level achieved this winter. I researched my options extensively before buying the CycleOps 300 this fall. It''s now available for less than I paid. I feel that I have received a great return on the investment and recommend it highly to serious cyclists who want a better riding and training alternative when you can''t get out on the road or don''t want to go out in the winter elements.
The Cycleops cycle is a very stable indoor bike that provides an excellent workout. It is very adjustable, making it easy to customize the fit to any rider. The 300 comes with a power meter which provides the best data for evaluating your workouts. I never liked the feel of using my regular bike on a trainer, and other indoor bikes never felt the same as a regular bike. This is the best of both worlds, providing a much sturdier ride than a trainer but a real-bike fit & feel. This has done wonders for my winter training.
