Fitness Quest Perfect Situp

Fitness Quest Perfect SitupIve watched infomercials about all sorts of ab machines over the years and this was the first that I was actually interested in. Mainly for the lower ab workout. Ive done situps for almost 10 years now consistently and with weights for added resistance. And ive gotten the six pack but the lower abs have always been the hardest to try and target. Mainly because the workouts that really target them are ones where you have to hang. But this lets you do it on the floor where I do the rest of my workout instead of trying to find a good available doorway. When I tried doing the whole upper and lower ab workout I felt a burn like I hadnt felt in years! and in a shorter amount of time then my usual workout. I love it! It guides your body through the sit up motion which is really important, because when I do sit ups just on a mat I have a hard time sometimes staying in place and not leaning to one side too much. It has become part of my routine, along with my usual sit ups(I do less of those now). Im 5''10 and the size of the machine is perfect at the longest setting, so I think if your over 5''10 it may be more of a challenge to use this, thats the only real downside I can see. Also it would be nice if there was a level 4 and 5 resistance blade set for it too

I bought this from Target. When I tried it for the first time I noticed it was too easy. I had to do a hundred reps to feel like I worked out. I looked at the box and discovered it came with level 1 springs. Level 2 and 3 springs are supposed to be available, but I couldn''t find them at Target, The Sports Authority, Big 5, or here. I don''t know why they want to hit you up for more cash when the thing is already too expensive.

Now I have a piece of junk in the closet that will end up being thrown in the trash.

Updated February 6, 2012. I bought the level 3 springs. When I let my teenage son try it, on the very first situp he did, the cheap plastic back broke. This piece of junk is now sitting in a land fill.

This thing works great and gives you an excellent workout. My only complaints being: 1. as a 6''1" male, i find it to be a tight fit for me to use, my body being too long for the backboard mostly. 2. The resistance bar for the back has a habit of unlocking from its position, probably due to my size; but its annoying having to stop a workout to clip it back in. 3. The resistance straps for the legs are flimsy and doesnt provide much of a workout, more for a smaller person or a woman. Would have liked for better bands

I got my Perfect Situp yesterday, and used it for the first time last night. I was very impressed! It was easy to put together and gave a good workout to my abs. I am trying to strengthen my core to eliminate some back pain, and I love gadgets, so I bought this. It is a little challenging to use, to get that click, but I will get better, I''m sure. I like the fact that it hangs up after use. I would recommend this for someone who needs the motivation of an exercise gadget to get them to do abwork, especially someone who has a bad back and can''t do regular crunches easily!

I was so excited about buying the perfect situp! It was easy to put together and I tried it out immediately. I''m 5''4" and 135 pounds I don''t know if that has anything to do with it, but the pain in my neck AFTER doing the workout was terrible! Instead of relieving the neck area it caused the strain. I had to pack it up and return it. Unfortunately for ME, this was NOT a good product. I''m going to go back to doing my regular sit-ups using a towel to help pull me up.
