I purchased and returned no less than 6 pairs of gloves looking for the perfect gloves. These are it. The back of the hand and fingers is made of a nice stretchy material that does not bind over the back of the hand and knuckles when the hand is gripping something. The palm and under side of the fingers is vinyl/leather-like fabric for good gripping without slipping, with a medium amount of padding, and a mesh area right in the middle of the palm so that when the hand is gripping something you do not have a bunch of material bunching up and pinching in the palm. The fabric on the fingers extends to the middle knuckle allowing for protection of the finger between the base of the finger and the first knuckle, and it also helps to keep the material from bunching up into the webbing between the fingers.

I would have given this 5 stars but for the zipper closure. It takes a bit of doing to get them zipped up and the placket of material underneath flat so the zipper does not rub on the side of the hand. The zipper is a little troublesome to unzip as well. I found I am able to zip them closed and put them on that way, then adjust the flap. I would not return them for that reason because of the many many other positive things about these gloves, which by the way also includes that there is not an abundance of seaming on the inside like I found on so many pairs which was irritating to the skin. Most gloves I tried were more comfortable worn inside out due to the excessive seam material that was not cut off close to the stitching. I measured for a large (7.75" around hand at base of fingers), and these fit perfectly. Highly recommend.

These gloves are made for someone who has smallish hands. I returned the "medium" and got the "large" size. They are still a tight fit. Like the look, but Nike needs to reevaluate their sizing.

Good for purpose. I dont lift weights but it protects your palm from getting callouses.

Zip at side slides down ever so often and opens but glove will not slip off.

These gloves were exactly what I needed for my strength training to give me a better grip without constricting my movement or comfort. I have been using them several times a week for several months and they show no signs of wear and tear. I usually take a size 7 in a dress glove, so the Small worked for me and seemed true to size both before and during my workouts. They are easy enough to take off and there is a little extra fabric on the middle fingers that you can pull on to help with this. They come to right above my wrist bone and I had no issues with chafing or with the zipper. I also appreciate the orange swoosh as opposed to the pinks or pastel colors I see on other gloves for women. I would definitely recommend.
