I used to compete in triathlons and after having my son needed a way to exercise at home.. My road bike was all carbon fiber and very high end so I was worried that I would not find that "ROAD FEEL" in a spin bike. I also taught spin class and know what a good spin bike should feel like.

After 3 weeks of searching and researching I found this bike.

IT IS AWESOME!!!!

The ride is so smooth. it has a digital read out but even better is it has preset programs that change the resistance level without twisting the knob.

It has a 31 pound fly wheel... I really wanted at least a 40 pound one but after using this bike I can tell you this is not a concern anymore.

This is a belt drive bike and it is so quiet (I''m glad I didn''t go for the chain drive one!

This bike has a LIFETIME WARRANTY on the frame and a 1 year on the parts. I purchased an additional 3 years for about 89.00. I hope I never have to use it but I''m glad I have it if I need it.

Assembly was really easy and it came with all the tools necessary. the saddle was better that expected and I dont see a need for replacing it at this time. The pedals were fine it has the option to either use the baskets or clip-less.

The weight limit is 330 pounds and what that really means is this bike is built like a mac truck. heavy duty, sturdy and built to last.

I am so glad I purchased this bike and if you are searching and not sure which one to buy CHOOSE THIS ONE!!!!!!

This bike is living up to all expectations. Smooth as glass and quiet operation are as advertised. Fully adjustable to any body type, and the electronics make your experience highly variable and thus more enjoyable. Solid, solid bike.

Following a knee injury and being averse to chlorine, I needed a low impact workout so chose a spinning bike. I researched bikes from BH Fitness, including the SB4 and the Bladez Aero Pro, Diamondback, Vision Fitness, and Waters Fitness. I really liked the Waters Fitness but the new magnetic self-generated model was not yet available and would cost more than what I wanted to spend.

I have used the Bladez Aero Pro for a month and I am completely satisfied. Following are specific observations:

1. Well packaged and easy to assemble although one small screw for the water bottle holder was missing.

2. It is quiet, solid -and heavybut easy to move.

3. The self generated power works very well even at low RPMs and has a back up charger which I have not needed yet.

4. The LCD screen is bright and displays RPMs, speed, watts, calories, distance and heart rate as well as time and resistance..

5. The 12 workout programs are more than I need. The programmed resistance change is smooth and displayed as the computer makes the changes depending on the program you choose. I nearly always use one of the programs and set the time for the length of the workout. The computer than displays the resistance levels for each increment with horizontal being time and vertical being resistance. For example, if I chose a total time of 48 minutes each horizontal increment would equal 3 minutes and each vertical increment would represent resistance between 1-32. Other computer modes are Manual, Custom and Heart Rate. I have used the latter in which the computer will adjust the resistance until you achieve your chosen maximum heart rate percentage (see below regarding transmitter and strap).

6. Both seat and handlebars adjust horizontally and vertically unlike many other bikes in this price range.

7. Has basket-type and SPD compatible pedals with hardware so you can use you SPD cycling shoes.

And the less than perfect:

1. No included heart rate transmitter and chest strap. I purchased Polar non-coded H2 from Amazon and it worked fine. Coded model will not work.

2. One year warranty, residential only not surprising in this price range.

3. Adjustment of the seat and handlebars is relatively slow because there are old-fashioned threaded knobs for the seat (1) and handlebars (2) rather than the quicker styles available on more expensive bikes. This will not be a problem if only one or two people are using it but would not work well if a greater number are.
