Forget the negative review they must have gotten a dud. I have had mine for over a year and it''s it working like a charm. The crossfit gym I got to has one as well and in the expansive 9,000 sq ft space you can hear and see it clearly. The remote works well from a distance. I freaking love it, I used to use a stop watch but it''s like comparing a tricycle to a porsche. Do your research, there are plenty of youtube video reviews on this. Neptune barbell in my experience is a pretty good company and I bought it through them and had no problems with shipping and communication. Buy it and you''ll never turn back.

I looked at this timer from various vendors before purchasing from Amazon, primarily because I wanted an internet company I could trust. The timer they sent me was a dud, BUT they stood by it and sent me a return label promptly. But, if the timer you purchase starts having a weird whine when you unplug and stops giving a loud beep, immediately notify Amazon, it won''t get better.

It is a great timer, stuff happens with any electronic, but what is more important is that the company you purchase it from stands behind it.

I like the clock a lot, the only problem is that the buzzer iis not loud enough.

I am a wrestling coach and my wrewstlers can not hear the buzzer during practice.
