ASICS Men''s Storm Shelter Jacket

I''m a true size large and this jacket runs a little small in the chest as noted by another reviewer. The shoulders seem true to size. I''d recommend the next size up if you are concerned with wearing anything other than a single ply tee shirt underneath the jacket. The jacket is warm and repels water very well. The top of the collar has a Velcro strip that stops water from leaking into neck area a very nice feature I don''t see in a lot of other products. The blue color is amazing far better than the picture here.

The product does not "breathe" very well and it''s easy to get very hot wearing this for long periods of time. I''d recommend this for temperatures somewhere between 55 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Wearing this on a day/night over 70 degrees is just stifling. I wear this while walking not running. Can''t imagine the heat generated in this product while running? There isn''t any real insulation between the two ply jacket layers, either, so I''m not sure why the product isn''t friendly to warmer weather? My only guess is the nylon material. The product description touts that seams are "strategically" placed for ventilation. Well, if they are, it''s certainly not apparent. For this reason, I''m deducting two stars.

I purchased in a local store for $44 which is currently less than on Amazon.

Love the jacket material and quality. Unfortunately it runs pretty small through the chest, so I had to return it for another the next size up.

This is a nice all purpose jacket. I layer under it for frigid days. For moderate temps or rain I can regulate temperature with the pit zips and front zipper. I also wear it around as a casual jacket. It is very comfortable. It''s the only jacket I own that people ask about.

I''ve owned Asics gear before, and needed this jacket because my current (size Large) one was just too big after I lost some weight. The medium I ordered fit well (Asics has started making these in a more tapered manner, which I prefer), and keeps out the cold/rain, while also breathing well. An excellent jacket!!
