These shorts fit very well and the liner was very comfortable. The split legs give plenty of freedom of motion. This is important for running, but even more so to work out on certain cardio machines like FreeStriders, Steppers, and Incline Trainers that require substantial leg lifting.

Based on fit and overall quality, I would have liked to have awarded five stars, but I couldn''t, due to a deficiency in pockets. The one small zippered pocket is nice, and just big enough for keys with a modest fob. However, there is no pocket big enough to carry an identification card or credit card. I often run on a military base, and we''re required to carry ID cards at all times -these shorts won''t accomodate.

For the price of these shorts, there should definitely be more, and larger, pockets for not just keys, but ID and credit cards, and maybe some cash, too.

In sum: high quality free-striding comfy shorts, but way short on pockets.

PS I should mention that, although the product description indicates these have both a liner pocket and a zippered key pocket, the pair I received only had the one very small zippered key pocket. There was no liner pocket whatsoever.

Well, the inner waist band on these have to be the most comfortable I''ve ever had on running shorts. The length is good, and the split is okay. The problem is these don''t wick away moisture very well. Longer runs tend to leave them soaked, and then chaffing. Hopefully they''ll improve these... I like Pearl iZumi''s other products.

I was looking for a reasonably priced running short with a zipper pocket in back and these fit the bill. Being a cyclist I''m very familiar with and trust the Pearl Izumi brand. These shorts live up to the brand''s quality. The liner provides good support without being constrictive. The legs are loose enough to not chafe and the fabric wicks away sweat and lets it evaporate easily. Plus, that handy little pocket in back keeps my house or car key safely stowed away while I''m out on the trail.

These are by far my favorite pair of running shorts. Very comfortable, good coverage and wicks away moisture well. I only gave it 4 stars because they are a little baggy. Highly recommend.
