These are the first bike shorts I''ve owned, and they make all the difference. Nature didn''t provide me much padding in the right place for biking, so rides have been uncomfortable despite padded seats. The padded pants add enough to noticeably improve comfort. They fit perfectly, with stuff to keep the legs securely stretch and the waist in the right place. I bought another pair and highly recommend them.

I originally heard of this company through a product review in a magazine for their "all American Shorts" then found all the other models. After mulling to decide which model to buy first I chose the "Top Shelf."(they sell direct and on Ebay also,btw). They arrived very quickly.The fit is really good-perfect compression.To help you with sizingI am 6''0 and 160162 during the summer, and about 5 lbs more in the winter. My normal jean size is 30-31 inch waste with a 34 inseam. I opted for the medium to be safe,to avoid ''muffin top." The stitching on these is fantastic-very strong construction (on the seams)-best hat I have seen. I ride tested to see about the padding. I ride firm saddles(brooks leather for instance) the padding is just right. It protects the contact points of the "sit bones" but isn''t over padded right between your legs, which with many other shorts tend to be over padded to the point that it puts more pressure there,not less. These have enough as a buffer, but not so much as to make you feel like you are riding on a rolled up beach towel. And-THESE ARE MADE IN THE U.S.A.....(except the padding insert). I am going to buy more shorts from these guysprobably the "red white and Beautiful" next seeing as that one is All usa made-even the insert. If the other shorts that they make are as high quality as thesedon''t hesitate.

I have been using these shorts for about 4 months now and boy did they do the job. Instant comfort and a better investment then buying a $200 seat. I went on a 70 mile ride this last Thursday and then again on Saturday and I had no issues and would not hesitate in recommending them. PLEASE NOTE if you will be on the saddle more than 3 hours at a time on a consistent basis you might want to consider the shorts with the red pad instead of the blue for a little extra comfort.

I ordered these after reading all the great reviews. I had them in my hand 2 days after placing the order. I have a 33" waist so i ordered the medium size and the fit is great! I went on a 30 mile road ride and i think the shorts performed really well. They stayed in place and added some much appreciated padding. My legs and bottom felt great after the ride and i even went for a walk afterwords. I am writing this the day after the ride and my legs still feel really fresh. I got these because i plan to do some really long rides and i think these shorts will last a long time and provide a lot of comfort. The stitching seems pro and i didn''t exprience any chaffing. The company recommends they fit snuggly against your body to prevent bunching and chaffing (get correct size). I know body types vary but i wonder if the people who exprienced chaffing and/or discomfort experienced it due to ordering the incorrect size ( maybe/ maybe not). I will recommend these to all my friends and will definitely be getting another pair to throw into the rotation for those super long rides lasting more than a couple of days. Do your rear and legs a favor and buy these shorts, they will thank you for it!!!!! They are made in the U.S.A. Which adds even more value to them in my opinion........ Buy them already!!

UPDATE: Just completed a 44 mile ride in the northern neck area of Virginia. Again, the shorts performed really well and everything feels great the day after. No uncomfortable rubbing or chaffing. I recommended these to my riding friend who wore workout pants for the ride. I am still relly glad i bought these shorts!!!!!
