AFG 2.0 AR Recumbent Exercise Bike

AFG 2.0 AR Recumbent Exercise BikeI purchased this bike for my elderly father upon his discharge from hospital/transitional nursing home care. We needed something to continue his strength training at home, and this bike was perfect for exercising and keeping his interest by watching television while he was riding it. It is very similar to higher end and much more expensive models used by therapy offices and health clubs. I found myself using it as well and actually stuck with it! It is so easy to use, and there are a variety of programs to keep you interested. It was fun to pace myself to a 20 minute DVD at first, working up in time increments from there. The bike is extremely solid, and the seat is comfortable. I shopped all over town for one of these bikes, but did not find one that measured up to this one in quality, and the price was actually less than some of the inferior models I tested.

Pearl Izumi Men''s Fly Intercool Long Sleeve Shirt

Pearl Izumi Men''s Fly Intercool Long Sleeve Shirt, Black, MediumHigh quality as always by PI one of my favorite brands because of this. This in not for cold weather riding/running though. Have to wear base layer for 50 degrees material works well for wicking and cooling is thinner than I expected. But would still recomend it for spring or warmer days..

Recently I purchased the PI sun sleeves and elite jersey with IN-R-Cool and was impressed with them and how well they worked as advertised, so I purchased this jersey and was not disappointed. Comfortable, fit well and seems durable. I have used them in 100+ degree humid weather here in NC and they helped keep my body cooler in combination with the other PI garments for 50+ miles. I am sold on this technology and PI as well. I''d rather have just one or 2 of these then a dozen cheaper garments that don''t perform as well in the heat.

Medium Heavyweight 100% Brushed Cotton Uniform

Medium Heavyweight 100% Brushed Cotton Uniform White size 5I bought this uniform for my weapons class as I needed something sturdy without being restrictive. It is perfect. You''ll do a lot of sweating in it in a high-intensity workout or if there''s no A/C, but it will hold up well and it''s a good-looking uniform for traditional performance purposes.

I bought the white uniform for my son who wanted a heavier uniform. the fit was good and he loves that it ''snaps'' when he throws a punch! I recieved it in a timely manner and was pleased that it was exactly what it said it was quality!

Spinervals Ultra Conditioning 5.0 Ultra Total Body

Spinervals Ultra Conditioning 5.0 Ultra Total BodyThis is my first Spinervals workout in the cycle/cross training fitness series. It is a 90 minute workout with 50% "technique, tempo and power focus on the bike" combined with 50% off the bike "total body strength and conditioning routine." It doesn''t focus in depth on any one or all of these, but it is a satisfying mix that is difficult but rewarding. Accessories needed: stability ball, dumbbells, floor mat. I enjoyed doing it for variety from the all-bike workouts.

I have about 15 of these and they are better than anything else I have found. They keep me fit in the Winter. I do wish that he would do a bit more variety, as they start to look and sound alike by the Spring, good thing I can hit the streets then.

Sporthill Mens TERRAIN Pant

Sporthill Men''s TERRAIN PantI got these pants during the warmer season at a bargain price & have been happy with them. The 3SP fabric is fantastic, being windproof, warm, comfortable & usable from 15 to 45 degrees F. with standard brief underwear. They machine wash well but do require line drying ("hang dry" per label), but dry fairly quickly in my basement. I have another pair of brown colored Sporthill 3SP closeout pants that have given me great service for 3 years of running. I like them somewhat more than these Terrain pants. They have tapered legs as opposed to the Terrain''s boot cut, therefore are warmer. They do look a little dorky compared to the Terrain pant which are good looking. But the Terrain model has a low rise coming only 2 1/2 to 3" below my navel & feels somewhat unnatural. I''m 5''11.5" tall, 33" waist, 31" inseam, 164 lbs. & have an average length trunk & the medium otherwise fit well. Again the fabric is really useful & not fussy to care for but I deduct a star for the short rise & lack of rear pocket for a pair of pants with pretensions of being worn as replacements for casual pants or jeans especially without having a fly opening.

These pants are pretty good. They are a tight weave and thick fabric that does a good job blocking the wind. They''re a little tight in the bum, but not too bad. I wear them in temps down to 20°F without getting cold. Colder than that, I wear a long underwear layer beneath them.

The only downside I''ve found is they do require special care. I washed them as normal the first time and noticed immediately that they had pilled and that the seams appeared worn. I read the care instructions and found that despite their sturdy feel they are supposed to be washed on gentle and laid flat to dry.

Pearl iZUMi Men''s Select Long Thermal Tight

Pearl iZUMi Men''s Select Long Thermal Tight,Black,LargeWore these during a 30+ rain and snow showers 30 mile ride.

No problem with the wind, rain or snow.

Stayed warm and operated at a high level of performance.

Pearl Izumi Select Long Thermal Tights, Large

These are designed for running since they lack the chamois padding for bicycling. The sizing based on reviews of the regular-length Thermal Tights, is quite off from Pearl Izumi''s other thermal tights. I opted to purchase the Long-length Thermal Tights because my regular inseam is 34 inches, while the regular Select Thermal Tights are advertised to have a 28 inch inseam. Granted that this inseam has to be shorter since it ends at the ankle, the 28 inches are too short. I also normally wear size Medium Pearl Izumi cycling thermal tights and cycling shorts, but I ordered these in Large. My waist size is 33"-33.5", so I am in-between sizes most of the time.

In Large, these Long Thermal Tights fit my thighs perfectly. They are baggier at my calves and there''s a lot of room in my groin area. The waist feels a tad loose. The ankles are too tight and aren''t elastic for some reason. The length is perfect, so if you have a 34 inch inseam for regular pants, I highly recommend you buy the Long Thermal Tights. I''d probably try a Medium in the future but I suspect it will be very tight in the thighs. My Pearl Izumi cycling thermal tights in Medium have more than enough inseam, have an elastic ankle, and fit perfectly. These running Long Thermal Tights need more consistent sizing.

That said, these Select Thermal Tights have a micro-fleece material that kept my warm down to the upper 30s in heavy wind. I was sweating at the end of my 3 mile run but I never felt like I was overheating. The compression in my thighs helped me perform better while running, and the tights made everything feel light and aerodynamic.

Overall: 4/5 stars, the sizing is a bit off. I normally wear Medium Pearl Izumi cycling shorts and tights, but I tried Large with these Long Thermal Tights and they are only a tad loose with the ankles extremely tight, and the calves are very loose. My waist is 33-33.5 inches, regular pant inseams are 34 inches.

I had a weekend of riding coming up in the fall and I did not own any tights to ride while biking. I ride a road bike, and needed something to keep my legs warm. I have other Pearl Izumi products, and found these Select Thermal Tights. I thought I would give them a try.

I love these tights!

One of the best parts is that I ordered the "Long" version of the product. I am tall, with a 35" inseam in my pants. These tights are long enough that they reach my ankles and can go over my socks. I typically have a hard time finding long enough pants, so this was great!

The quality is outstanding. I expect nothing less from Pearl Izumi, and they delivered on these tights. They do a great job on their products.

I had my ride and it was in the upper 30s close to 40 starting out right at sunrise in the morning. I was warm in these tights. I wore them over my biking shorts because the tights are not padded (which is great because you can wear them for running or other outdoor activities too). These are skin tight, and very comfortable. I ordered the same size I wear in the Pearl Izumi bike shorts I have, and the fit is great.

I fully recommend these tights for biking. I know they worked into the upper 30s for me. I have not tested them lower. I found I could also ride with them on into the low to mid 60s as the day warmed up and I did not overheat. Great product.

I use these for casual bicycling, and so far (a couple of months of several day a week use) have no complaints. They are comfortable, fit well, and keep my legs warm in temps down to the low 50''s F. They are machine washable and I''ve seen no pilling or other wear spots at this point.

I had a pair of inexpensive cycling tights before. They shielded me from the wind, but they really didn''t add any warmth of their own. These are different. They are slightly fuzzy inside. As soon as I put them on, I could feel my body warmth radiating back onto my legs. It was kind of amazing. The only reason I don''t give five stars is the zipper arrangement is a bit odd. They are so well hidden, the first time I pulled the tights on (at 6am in a dark bedroom), I didn''t realize there was a zipper, and kind of forced them over my heel, and I could hear the fabric stretching. Upon closer inspection, I discovered the hidden zipper. So, on one hand, it''s a plus, as they are nicely concealed in the fabric, on the other hand, perhaps Pearl Izumi could put a tag on the zipper so n00bs like myself would realize they are there. In any case, well worth the money!

Ab / Abdominal Exercise Core Exercise Hybrid Mat - Lowest Promotional Price - Fast Shipping

Ab / Abdominal Exercise Core Exercise Hybrid Mat - Lowest Promotional Price - Fast Shippingit''s of decent quality, but put together rather haphazardly. there are a bunch of fabric staples on the back holding the leather down. i had to hammer them down quite a bit and put some adhesive sealer over them so they didnt scratch up my floor.

From the pictures of the product I was worried that this mat would be too flat, not sloped enough like the abmat at the gym, and unfortunately, I was right. It is flatter than I would like, but not completely horrible, will still do the trick. Some might actually like that because other abmats I''ve tried are too raised, causing your back to arch too much and actually hurt your back more. My biggest complaint with this product is the poor craftsmanship. The "pleather" cover is loose, crooked and bunched in places, and is affixed with permanent folds that can''t be fixed. While it has a velcro closure on the back, the flap is stapled down -crooked. Really, how hard would it have been to pull the covering tight and straight and THEN staple it down?! Definitely NOT worth the small savings from the original type. With the cost of shipping this mat, the difference between this and the gym type with free shipping is only about $10. Had I known the quality of this mat, I would definitely have spent the extra $10.

THE BIGGEST LOSER Sculpt & Burn Kit (4-6lbs)

The Biggest Loser Sculpt and Burn Kit - Weighted 4 to 6-Pound Water Ball and Jump RopeThis was purely an impulse buy. Filling the ball took about 10 minutes. You have to keep "burping" it to get more water to go in. Have some patience!

There is no hype, no long instructions, just a color poster with a small amount of instructions under each picture. It says do 2 sets of 15 reps for each picture. I have not exercised for awhile. I start and stop my exercises all the time. So, presently, I am not fit. Let me just say that I only did one set of repetitions and it kicked me! This is great cardio and core strength. I will be sore tomorrow. I think you could expand on these exercises, or use it before a walk or a run. It is simple, no fancy dance steps or annoying people talking to you on a DVD. And it doesn''t take an hour. I will use this in the morning before work! It''s perfect!

This was exactly what I ordered. Many of the previous reviews said that it was difficult to fill, but if you follow the directions, it fills easily. I love this product.

Water Ball is great for ab workouts. The only drawback is that it''s difficult to fill up quickly! I wish I knew of a better way to fill it up. The instructions do not state how often to change the water. Do you have to change the water??

Haven''t used the jumprope yet.

The idea is interesting but you can''t actually fill the ball up with water. The hole that the water is suppose to go into is WAY too small. You would have to use an eye dropper to fill this thing. The jump rope has perma ripples in it from being plastic and stored in a coiled position. There are lots of other exercise balls...get one of those instead.

Icebreaker Women''s Arctic Hood

Icebreaker Women''s Arctic HoodI wore this hoodie every day for a whole month while sailing offshore. Underneath, I wore one or two Icebreaker shirts (rated 200) depending on weather, with a waterproof/windproof sailing jacket over it. While regular fleece jackets would have picked up sweat, merino is truly odour proof and kept me warm. The hood is also quite warm. Outside pockets have zippers and inside pockets of good size. Great, soft jacket!

I was looking at this jacket in black and pink for several weeks for a trip to Lapland next year and finally decided to see how much the total cost would be, including shipping. I went through to the checkout and clicked a button to change it to AUD and accidentally purchased it! I was in total shock but once it came I was so grateful I did! It''s very warm and very comfy!!! It''s a little shorter than I usually like but I love it anyway!!! It''s so light weight without bulk and I can wear it everywhere! Definitely worth buying!!!

Phoenix 99607 Mag Trac Upright Exercise Bike

Phoenix 99607 Mag Trac Upright Exercise BikeFirst I''d like to say how fast I received this bike! Amazon sent it FedEx and I received it 3 days from the date of my order. It was packaged well and got here fine. I only seen one review on this bike which was a 5 star. I usually look for more people who purchase an item but what I liked about this bike was the fact that the seat was adjustable 2 different ways and also the handle bars. So many of the reviews on other bikes talked about how the seat was too high on the lowest level for shorter people. I''m only 5''1", so this was a concern for me. This bike I can adjust to ride it comfortably! The seat is large and cushioned. I put it together by myself. My husband did removed it from the box for me as the base of it is quite heavy and I didn''t want to drop it. I would suggest having 2 people attach the handle bars. It was a little tricky trying to hold them in place while screwing on the front and back plate pieces, but I did do it after a few attempts. I''ve had this bike for only a week now but so far so good. I have it in my livingroom in front of the TV where I can ride it while watching TV daily. It is quiet and smooth riding. I like the monitor that tells you how long you''ve rode, calories burned, heart rate etc. It''s a great bike for the money. I highly reccomend it.

If any problems occur in the future, I''ll let you know. Hopefully not tho.

This bike came in as a gift from my daughter, the delivery is fast, the assembly is easy by following manual instruction; most of all, the bike is not just looking great, it is so quiet and sturdy. I just love it! This bike has now established me a routine workout habit, I watch TV and paddle the machine for 30 each day, with speed at my discretion. There are many measurement indexes to help me understand my body needs, build up my target heart rate, and motivate myself to meet my exercise tolerance. I would definitely recommend this bike to my friends!!

This bike is well built and sturdy, quiet and easy to put together. The

seat is comfortable and has lots of cushion. I am 5ft tall and I can reach

the pedals just right, if I were any shorter I would not be able to reach them.

When tightening the screws by the handle bars dont over tighten or the plastic will

crack.

I am pretty satisfied with this bike and think its a great deal for the price

and is not cheap and flimsy compared to other bikes of this price range.

One pedal makes a clicking noise as it goes around now but its no big deal and does not interfere with using it, just turn on the radio or TV and you wont notice.

I too had a few problems, when I first received mine. However when I called the company and spoke to Jeff who took on the responsibility of making everything wrong,to making everything right. He immediately sent me a new bike and paid the shipping as well and UPS picked it up. The first thing you need to know, is this company really cares, and have given lots of time to help straighten and resolve the issues I have had with this bike.

Issue 1 Tension didn''t work.. Issue corrected....new bike sent.

Issue 2 On board computer didn''t work properly. Problem corrected... New magnet sent.

Now that everything is working, this is my review.

This bike is Rock Solid, lots of heavy metal and very little plastic.

The bike is very smooth to pedal, and the variable 8 speeds should challenge most people for years to come.

This bike gives me total adjustment of both the seat, and the handlebar. The seat adjusts both in height , and in back to front so a person under 5 foot to a person over 6 feet tall will have no problem in this area. The handle bars are also fully adjustable as well which means you can lean as far forward as you choose as well as sitting straight up as well. By allowing you to do this, you work many areas of your body then any other bike even twice or more expensive then my PHEONEX.The seat by the was is very large, and very comfortable as well.Another feature is that it is DEAD QUIET with not a hint of noise and I love that you can change the gears without any difficulty. The on board computer has all the bells and whistles that I want and then some. Another feature of the on board computer is that you can program in your individual history re weight height age etc.

And to top it off, this bike looks great as well.

Over all the PHEONEX #99607 IS ONE HELL OF AN INVESTMENT,which in my opinion, has no competition.

The resistance control cable did not work in the bike I received. The factory installed end of the cable was not attached inside the bike body. The cable attachment seemed to be prone to coming undone. It was easier to disaseemble the bike body, attach the loose end of the cable inside the bike body and reassenbke the body than to ship the bike back.

Livestrong® LS10.0E Elliptical

Livestrong® LS10.0E EllipticalWhen I first got this several months ago, I was very happy with it, particularly with how quiet it was. I''ve used several brands of ellipticals and treadmills before, and this was the quietest of them all. I should also note that the difficulty range is higher than most others. With my old Diamondback or the Precor at work, I''m at least 80% up the difficulty scale; with this I''m at something more like 30%, which probably means even the very lowest difficulty wouldn''t work for other family members.

I quickly started to notice problems. First the bolt where the arm connects to the pedal just kept coming loose, so I had to become an expert at tightening it. Rust started appearing on the tracks, and I actually am careful about wiping the machine down so there''s no excuse for that (never had that problem with another machine). Then it started becoming noisier and noisier. At this point it''s barely tolerable even when I''m wearing earphones turned up fairly loud It sounds like the flywheel is wobbly, which probably isn''t fatal, but opening the case is practically impossible without special equipment and knowledge of where the internal catches etc. are so I can''t be sure. Now I''m trying to find someone local to service it, and that''s turning out to be a pain too.

Before I bought this I did some pretty exhaustive research, especially vs. Sole and Smooth which have nearly identical models at nearly identical price points (probably not a coincidence). This machine works, but if I didn''t already own it I''d definitely buy one of the others at this point. If you do buy one, get an extended service contract and/or plan ahead for when it needs that service. It will, within a year.

Got It 2 weeks after I ordered it, only took me about an hour to assemble. I have been using it for 3 weeks now and am very satisfied have had no problems at all. Would absolutely recommend this elliptical to any one. I am a big guy (FAT) I weigh 275 or at least did 3 weeks ago and it supports my weight just fine. my wife spends 30-40 min on it every day and she loves it as well. no squeaks, or other noises everything runs smooth,(I did add grease when I assembled the unit to the moving components and shafts.) I also enjoy the online tracking thru livestrong.com all in all i have no complaints at this time.

I received the elliptical within 10 days. It was delivered by a straight truck to my garage. The box was in perfect condition. I unpacked it in the garage and carried it piece by piece to my bedroom. I am a 53 year old woman, so my son had to carry the flywheel upstairs for me, since it was so heavy. I was gonna get him to put it together for me, but he couldn''t do it for a few days because of work. So I decided to start on it by myself. I put the whole thing together all by myself! It was pretty easy. The directions were clear and everything needed was included. I love this elliptical! It is fun and a great workout! I''m very happy with my purchase!

I spent some time looking for a good ellipse machine and i was frustrated that all the good reliable ellipse were over 2000, until i found this machine.

The machine came really fast, within the week i had it, bouth it monday was home by friday (maybe due to location) .

Setting it up was a breeze, all tools included, 10 step process and you are up and running. It comes with a lot of grease so don''t bother putting wd40 or anything, just scrape the grease from the bags and you should be good to go.

I started this machine with 285Lbs. No sounds, no problems. After 1 month of using it every day im down to 260 using the weight loss setting. no sounds no issues. The 23Lbs flybar makes a huge difference compared the the previous 15 and 20lbs.

Overall a GREAT product, i would definetly recomend it, the ergonomics are fantastic, not like the beat up machines in the gym.

Want Livestrong® LS10.0E Elliptical Discount?

Bought the machine about a year and a half ago. Was not sure to Purchase the LS10 or Sole 25 or 35. Salesaman tried to push us towqard the Sole machine. Used the machine for about 2 months and then stopped due to skin tag getting sore. Lost interest in the machine for about a year but the livestrong was already making noise at this point. Just started using the machine again now for 2 months. As time goes on it makes more noise. First just a squeaking (seems to be from the back end) Now as the elliptical goes through the different resistance levels, after it hits 4 for the second time (about half way in)in the 30 minute cycle (weight loss) you hear a persistant thud which is inside the machine. I suspect the electronic braking. I took the covers off, not easy, I have a impact tools and compressor which made the job easier. Any repairs made under the covers require some know how. Since I waited over a year the service part of the warranty is over, however parts are still covered for another 2 years. I will replace the parts that has sent us. The machine is a solid machine and I love using it, if the machine had no noises it would be a solid 5 stars. When you pay a $1000 for a machine it should work perfectly out of the box with no noise. Currently if I had to buy this machine all over again, I would not. Can''t say that the Sole would have been any better, but they make their own equipment and the sales person swore by them. The livestong is made by Horizon which I was told by the sales person, uses parts from different manufacturers. I choose the livestrong because to me it had a better position which was more uprights versus the Sole and other models which seemed to be slightly tilted forward. I have a TV with a sound bar and when the sound is turned up I the squeaks are harder to hear, but the thud has me worried that something may come off while in use and damage the machine. I will try to fix it myself if not hire someone to fix it for me.

I needed a summer long sleeve running top that is light and cooling but also protective from the sun. I hate lathering on sunscreen when I go running because it clogs up the pores and feels much hotter than when I wear long sleeve tops. I have tried the new balance tempo (returned due to irritating seams), asics favorite long sleeve (kept because it''s 50SPF), asics ready set (very comfortable but didn''t protect me from the sun). The pearl izumi intercool is by far my favorite. It''s super soft and comfortable and there are no irritating seams. I am 5''1" 110 lbs. and X-small is a perfect fit.

AVIA Men''s A104M Fitness Shoe

AVIA Men''s A104M Fitness Shoe,White/Black,9 MThese shoes are well designed and well made, and a good value--they''re as good, or better, than just about any athletic shoes at this price. They''re very light and feel supportive and balanced. In fact, unless you''re a competitive athlete who needs a special shoe, I don''t think spending more makes much sense--you''ll be paying for hype and style preference, not performance.

That being said, I have very wide feet, so I ordered these wide, but they''re still just a little cramped. If your feet are no wider than most, it''s a nonissue for you, but if you have very wide feet, consider ordering a half-size larger than you otherwise would.

Great shoes for the price. Better than getting shoes at the local store just make sure you know the size you need.

Avia''s budget sneakers used to be a good buy: they were leather and the uppers lasted a long time. I bought them for years. Now, unfortunately, they use a lot of vinyl ("synthetics") and far less leather. I had a couple of recent pairs of their sneakers that cracked along the instep of the upper, showing it to be vinyl. I took that as disappointing, but overall, they held up pretty well. However, the uppers on my last pair completely separated from the soles (on each shoe) so soon that the soles had no wear on them at all. That is just plain shoddy. I found their customer service to be truly unresponsive. I hope you have better experiences, but I do not think you can have confidence in them.

adidas Women''s Response Astro W Pant

adidas Women''s Response Astro Pant, Black/White/Light Onyx, LargeI like these pants a lot. In fact, I am wearing them right now.

I really like them, but I do have 2 qualms, but they aren''t bad enough to rate them down:

1. The short inseam (about 30.5" on the Small[on adidas''s website]). I knew that buying them that the inseam was short, so I can''t complain, but it would be nice if they has a "long" form of these. I''m 5''8" with long legs and a short torso and need closer to a 34-35" inseam. Consider going up a size if you need the longer inseam.

2.Depending on how tight these are on you, there may be underwear lines. A way to prevent or minimize that is to wear long underwear underneath (or something like that) during cold weather.

I definitely don''t regret the $48 I spent on these; for those who hate the bagginess of regular sweat pants, these hit the spot.

LOVE these pants! Not too tight and not too loose although I probably could have ordered a size smaller. I like the Clima Cool fabric...it is lightweight and cool. I bought the matching jacket. These are so comfortable! I''m on the "shorter" size so was glad to actually get a pair of track pants that didn''t drag the ground. Will probably order a different color. Great deal and they arrived earlier than I expected!

I almost ordered the size " XS " and I wished I had. Adidas runs normally on the smaller side so I was a little worried.

The adidas "Tyro" pants are just perfect in small.

The "Astro" pants fits more like a medium to large, very disappointing!

I''m 5'' 8" and these pants were way above my ankles. The fabric is lightweight so once in motion they probably would have looked even shorter. Returned them immediately.

Fitness, Exercise Ball, 85cm,75cm,65cm,55cm,45cm

BodySport Exercise Fitness Ball Pilate Yoga 85 cm Extra LargeasdfasdfLet me start out by saying this is a really nice ball, but there are definitely a few pieces of information that could be of use to you.

First things first, the ball does smell pretty strongly at the beginning, but on day one the smell is already dissipating, and in my experience this is very typical (I have a handful of these balls from different manufacturers for chairs at desks around my home) but it does smell like a sort of plasticy petroleum type smell. It will go away, but be prepared for it.

You get what you pay for with the pump, it is by no means a good pump, but works for the purposes of filling up the ball for the first time, and is nicer than many that I have received with other balls I have purchased because it is a foot pump rather than a hand pump, which my arms could not have been happier about. A simple trick to make life a bit easier is to superglue the hoses into position so they stop popping off; once I did this it was a simple matter to finish inflating the ball.

The ball is EXTREMELY hard when filled to the appropriate size (the size indicated by the measuring tape); the whole time I was filling it, I felt like it would burst but it handled the pressure like a champ (one member of my family ways over 300 lbs and didn''t seem to be taxing the ball at all). This is great if you need a nice hard surface to work out on, but if you want a bit softer of a seat or feel to it then go up a size and let some air out.

The surface is the shiny smooth one rather than the textured one. I don''t personally care which one I have, but if you want a specific texture, realize that this is the smooth one and might not be the perfect solution for hardwood floors (though I''m using mine on hardwood and it seems to be doing just fine.

While the description on Amazon says that the ball will hold 1000 lbs of pressure, the materials included in the packaging clearly indicated 600 as the max. I''m having trouble thinking of a situation where 600 lbs wouldn''t cut it, but again, forewarned is forearmed.

As far as anything else goes, the teal color is very true to the images, the shipping was quick and the package was well protected by a second box inside. After purchasing a few exercise balls over the last few years, I can say that so far this is my favorite, buy with confidence.

I have to say, the thought of sitting on a ball while working at my computer was a little "weird" at first, but let me tell ya, I''m a bit on the hyper side and being able to move around and not sit still all day LOVE IT!!

The pump is cheap..but it worked! Love the ball.

I''m 5''10" and got the extra large. Probably could''ve gone with the large..but what the heck!

Got this to be an occasional desk chair; the 75cm balls are just too short for that for me. It''s huge and sturdy and a wonderful shade of blue. (Blue with a touch of green; I wouldn''t quite call it "teal" myself. Dark turquoise, maybe.)

It''s just what I wanted.

p.s. In case this is helpful. I''m 5''10", but have long legs... I usually wear a 34 or 35" inseam. Just in case that helps you figure out how large a ball you might like. That is, if you''re going to sit on it. I think this is bigger than I''m supposed to have for an exercise ball if I were using it for that purpose.

The ball is nice. I''ve only been using it a couple days, as the pump that comes with it (which is one reason I bought this ball over others that didn''t come with a pump) is a cheap little plastic thing that split once, and after I taped it, then broke apart completely. I had to rig up a bicycle pump. Long, tiring process. Buy this ball if you want, fine, but not because it come with a pump. That would be a disappointment.

I''m only 5''6" but I bought the 85 cm ball because I wanted to practice back bending. I absolutely LOVE my ball, it''s one of the greatest things I''ve ever bought. I do all sorts of stretching and fun things on it, you can use it for any of a million+++ different reasons. It''s also great for relaxing and stretching.

Garmin Edge 800 GPS-Enabled Cycling Computer (Includes Heart Rate Monitor and Speed/Cadence Sensor)

Garmin Edge 800 GPS-Enabled Cycling Computer
  • High-sensitivity receiver
  • Advanced heart rate-based calorie computation
  • Barometric altimeter
  • Touchscreen & simple to use interface

As a basis for my review: I''m someone who owns a 305, 705, 500 and 800 (and has the Cyclemeter iPhone app). I''ve ridden thousands of miles with all of them (well, not the iphone app and 800yet). I''ve owned polar watches in the past too. My current set-ups include bikes with a powertap and Quarq. My training rides during the winter include 5+ hour road ridesalthough this is nothing compared to what the rondo folks do. I''m also a Cat 2 road racer with experience in many many many races. (also race MTB and cyclocrossno track this year)

At first I was a little hesitant about the touchscreen having been so used to my iphone. Is it sensitive? Can I use it with gloves on? I will say for a fact that the touchscreen changes your entire interaction with the device. It does work with glovesand surprisingly well at that. Have you ever tried to enter data into the 705 using the little thumbstick? Hunt, click, hunt, click. It''s a frustrating experience. With the touchscreen it''s a snap. Tap, tap, tap. Done. Don''t expect iPhone/Android phone screen qualityif you did, you''d be paying a couple hundred more for it (and probably wouldn''t be able to use gloves with it)

Benefits over the iphone: screen works with gloves on. Don''t need to worry about it getting wet. If I drop it, I don''t need to worry about it as much. I still have navigational capability and maps if I''m out of cell range (happens a lot if I''m in the Cascades or the Oregon coastal range).

Another bonus over the 705the sheer number of screens and discrete informational elements. 3 data screens with a possible 10 fields per each. Plus more available data fields on the map, courses and workout pages. A bike geek''s dream. If you want to change one of the data fieldsfor example, instead of power, you figure you need to see 3 second power, you hold your finger on the field and poof, you can select the field you''d like to change it to. Changing all the fields on the 800 is a much easier process too, and if you don''t want a screen, you can turn it off. (most of them at least)

Another big improvementwriting speed compared to the 705. I plug the 705 in and if I have a lot of activities, it takes forever to mountif you have the 705, you know what I meanthat stinking green bar. The 800 mounts much quicker and the files are much smaller as .fit.

Compared to the 500it''s a completely different unit made for different purposes. The 500 I use in race situations for data collection and I only have a few data fields shown. Distance, power, heart rate and time. I rarely look at it but it''s nice to be able to know why I am about to blow at certain points. The 800 on the other hand is great for trainingthe ability to change fields on the fly, the maps are quite handy to see where roads go and having the navigational ability is handy too. 500 takes more steps to change fields too so I rarely like to change them. Other fields that are available on the 800 but not on the 705, temperature (is at freezingkinda important to know), watts/kg.

There''s still some elements that need to be improved but given Garmin''s track record for providing excellent updates, those should be fixed. For exampleduring workouts, using instantaneous power for narrow band workouts is not the best. If you''re trying to work at threshold, instantaneous power tends to bounce around, and it really should have 3 second power as the basis. Otherwise the outside of zone alarm keeps on going off. The other piece I wish for is the ability to custom tailor fields to each bike. (So I choose my cross bike, it shows the appropriate screens since I don''t have a power unit on that).

The other improvement over the 705 is the mounting system. It has the twist lock like the 500 instead of the 705 mount with the flimsy push down flap that breaks.

My summary? I for one love the 800and the linchpin is the touchscreen. It makes the unit much easier to work with over past units. I was a little jaded and didn''t expect much from touchscreen but now that I''ve used it, it has made a world of difference. I would say this is a large step improvement, not incremental.

How would I compare these?

7052nd generation, good evolution from 305, data entry a chore, good navigation capabilities, limited screens

500minimalist, lightweightgreat for those who don''t need to navigate but want enough info to train with.

8003rd generation, UI greatly improved, data entry a breeze, plenty of information available, flexible with potential for more improvements

Is it worth it? Yeah, in my opinion it is. For the amount of time I spend on the road, absolutely.

Buy Garmin Edge 800 GPS-Enabled Cycling Computer (Includes Heart Rate Monitor and Speed/Cadence Sensor) Now

Garmin Edge 800

I have never owned a bicycle GPS, but have tested many basic bike computers. The Garmin 800 is accurate, fast, easy to use and most of all fun.

My main reasons for purchasing the device were to have a bike computer to use on my road bike that would provide various kinds of data in addition to speed and distance (heart rate, time to destination...), and to be able to go for long rides without worrying about getting lost, allowing me to concentrate on cycling and exploring new places instead. I was looking for a product that would give me the information I wanted but without distracting me.

The basic data are very accurate and data fields are easy to read while riding, as long as you do not cram too many fields into a single page. (Screens are customizable and you can flip through data/map pages.) I use two data pages: one with basic information, and the other with data such as average speed or temperature which I do not need to consult constantly.

The screen is easy to read, even in direct sunlight, and it lights up automatically if it is dark outside.

The touch-screen interface makes the device very user-friendly and can easily be operated with sweaty fingers. I have not tested it with gloves yet but other users have said that they are not a problem.

The maps are accurate and easy to read, though I do recommend getting the city extension which is sold separately. Otherwise only main roads are displayed. I use this for road biking so I was not interested in having topographical maps.

The map can be programmed to avoid highways. However, on one or two occasions my GPS device led me to major roads that were not suitable for cycling. Since they were technically not highways, they were not blocked. Obviously the GPS does not replace your brain or your eyes. That might sound silly but I was surprised how easy it is to follow the device blindly. Just keep your eyes open. If you do not follow the GPS instructions it will recalculate a route based on the direction you take. The device is not intrusive or aggressive like some car GPS devices. It will not yell at you or display large warnings if you miss a turn. Instead, it will adapt.

I was not intentionally interested in uploading my rides to my computer but I have started using Garmin Connect to analyse basic data and track my progress from ride to ride. It''s also neat to see your ride on a map and to be able to download other people''s rides.

I was also not planning on using the heart rate monitor regularly but I think I will start. It seems to work pretty well.

The price for this device is very high in my opinion. Of course, this is the top-of-the-line model from Garmin. Yet compared to car GPS models it still seemed like a lot. I don''t regret the purchase, and I do not regret having bought a cheaper model because I would probably have ended up buying this one afterwords anyway.

The Garmin Edge 800 has more features than anyone could possibly want. But it is very fun to use. If you are considering cheaper models but are drooling over this one, then buy it. No, you do not need it. But you do not need to get up at 5:00 AM on a Sunday to go for a bike ride wearing Lycra tights either. You do it because it''s fun. (Riding, not wearing tights.) If you can spare the cash, buy this.

EDIT: My impressions after 250 miles using the product

-Heart rate monitor is accurate, useful and sensor is comfortable to wear. I thought it would get on my nerves but it turns out I like it

-Battery life is more or less as advertised, but obviously depends on factors such as whether or not you use the backlight, etc.

-Charging time is very fast!

-Today, the step-by-step navigation lead me into some guy''s backyard claiming it was a road. According to him, there was one there... three years ago! He says people using GPS devices end up there all the time because Garmin apparently hasn''t updated that part of the map... Not a big deal, only happened once but funny story.

I own several Garmin GPS devices, including two Nuvi, a Garmin Edge 705 and a Garmin Forerunner 410. So I was happy to purchase the new Edge 800 GPS computer for my mountain bike. After 3 rides I can definitely state that this GPS was NOT designed for a mountain bike. While it is waterproof, this GPS suffers from an extremely soft plastic touch screen which got completely scratched after 3 rides. I can now see pixel abberation due to the scratches (this is just from flying debris and perhaps dirt on my gloves/hands while manipulating the touch display) which is annoying. Note I cross country in the bay area, so this is not a result of a downhill/freeride abuse or crash.

So:

1. This model might work for road biking ride on clean roads and make sure to clean your hands and mitts before maniipulating the display!

2. Perhaps a screen protector might work. Don''t know.

3. For mountain biking stick with a lower range Garmin like a 705 (not as scratch prone after 2 years!).

Other than that the GPS works as expected.

Edit reading other bikers reviews I tried keeping the GPS in a soft pouch while biking. It is a good method, and might be a good way to keep it usable in the long run. Not as sexy as Garmin''s marketing folk intended, nor as useful for navigating/speedometer, etc. but a useful approach for existing owners who want to track their rides.

Edit 2 For those who are interested in purchasing this Garmin, I would highly recommend getting a screen protector. So I recently disocovered a Zagg screen protector for the Edge 800. This one happens to work very well: . Also, the protector actually seemed to have made the scratches disappear (or at least be much less visible).

From a feature/function perspective, the edge 800 is a fantastic device....WHEN IT WORKS! Some of the problems I''ve had multiple times include (but definitely not limited too)...

Speed going to Zero randomly, then the device will auto-pause causing loss of data.

Last 3 rides the device encountered a waypoint error in which it suddenly showed I traveled 1000''s of miles completely throwing off all my data fields including average speed, distance, elevation, etc. I''ve had average speed reach 15,000mph.

Corrupt fit files on the device that prevented me from uploading data to Garmin connect.

In short, I would not purchase this item until Garmin fixes all the software bugs with a new version firmware. If and when they do, I will rate the product at 4-5 stars as it is a great GPS when working. (at the time of this post, current firmware version is 2.1)

UPDATE All technical issues have been resolved by Garmin via software updates. Hopefully Garmin will stop using their customers as software testers.

I bought an Edge 800 (along with the expensive North America map software) after losing my Garmin Edge 705. What a mistake! The software is buggy and you end up rebooting the device often; the touchscreen goes out of calibration (you touch an icon on the left and a menu from the right side of the screen is activated, etc.); the screen is too dark to read when in bright sunlight (yes, I do know how to adjust the screen brightness); it''s just not worth the price. Buy the Edge 605 or Edge 705 instead. They are much less expensive, are much more reliable and, though smaller, the screen is legible in the sunlight. I loved my 705 and thought the newer model would be an enhanced model, but I was wrong. There are three things that I like better with the Edge 800 as compared to the 705: 1) the bike mount; 2) the bigger screen size; and 3) the automatic warning to hit the "START" button on the device when you start riding. The screen size of the Edge 800 is great when viewing in a darkened room but since it''s too dark to read in the sunlight you end up hating it. The Edge 800 bike mount is much improved over the Edge 705; it''s much more positive acting and easier to use compared to the mount used for the Edge 705.

I have bought a number of Garmin devices over the years (several Nuvi''s for the car, a GPS 60CX for hiking, the Edge 705 and 800 for my bike) and this is the first time I truly am dissatisfied with my purchase. To end my tale of woe with a happy ending, I found my Edge 705 after 3 months of looking and happily it''s back on my bike and working great. I still dislike using the MapSource software to load maps on the Garmin 705 but otherwise I am satisfied with the Edge 705.

I probably should sell the Edge 800 but I hate to pass this expensive, basely usable device onto another unsuspecting human being. Come on Garmin fix this thing.

Apex Olympic Hollow Bar Kit

Apex Olympic Hollow Bar KitThe bars are very light and feel cheap when you pick them up. No worries I say, they''re CHEAP and I don''t want to shell out the Benjamins for real, solid professional equipment. Besides, I''m not running a professional gym; it''s just me and my son working out in our home gym.

All goes well until the end piece (where the weight plates sit) on the curl bar pops off with no warning. The force of gravity causes the weights to fall with loud noises, YIKES what surprise. Loud noises, cussing, the curl bar twists violently in my hands (one side is now considerably lighter then the other), dents in floor, etc. No injuries, but certainly could have been broken feet, crushed toes, and serious wrist and forearm injuries from the sudden violent twist when one side unloaded quickly.

Well, now I''m out what I pad for the damn bar and I''m feeling silly to boot. I share my pain only to prevent you from making the same stupid mistake I did. You don''t get something for nothing, you get what you pay for, and cheap equipment will cost you more in the long run.

I will now do what I should have done in the first place, namely belly up to the (curl) bar and pay for a solid professional well made curl bar, not this junk.

First of all, for those wondering, the weights of these bars are: 3 pound dumbbell handles and: 6.5 pound EZ curl bar. Anyway, I know that dumbbell handles and EZ curl bars can both run into well over $100 (separately, not together) for the highest quality stuff. I have been using these dumbbell handles for a couple of months now and I am very pleased with them, especially for the price. The best part about them is you can use them in conjunction with micro loading plates, so that you can effectively add weight to your lifts in as little as 1/2 pound increments. 2" APT Free Weight Weights fractional Plates Chrome Pro Grade I have included a link for the micro loading plates that have been an enormous help to improving my lifts. They are a bit expensive, but they are invaluable. If you have lifted for a while you know increasing lifts in 5 pound increments from workout to workout is next to impossible unless you are still learning the proper form on an exercise or you are lifting 400 pounds.

My only suggestion would be to invest in some better collars. These collars are pretty awful and will not safely hold more than about 15 pounds on either end of a dumbbell handle. This is bad if you want to do exercises where the weight stack faces the floor for a period of time such as when getting in position for a dumbbell bench press, a behind the head dumbbell french press, etc. When trying to do the latter exercise, the bottom half of the weight stack that was facing the floor crashed to the ground when I was getting the weight into position. If you want to avoid this potential danger and frustration, buy some stronger collars. Valeo Olympic Spring Collars I have included a link for some collars that I have not tried myself, but the reviews are good and they also look very cost effective.

Buy Apex Olympic Hollow Bar Kit Now

I purchased this item for two reasons: it had the dumbbell handles, and it was cheaper than almost all of the other similar sets. While I''ve used the dumbbell handles numerous times and like them, I''ve only used the curl bar once.

The principle behind the "ez-curl" bars is that they''re more ergonomic and supposed to allow you to do a more natural grip on the bar. Of all of the curl bars I''ve used in the last 17 years, this is the only one that hurt just like I was using a regular straight bar. In fact, I''m contemplating cutting the ends off this thing and welding them onto my Harbinger "threaded super curl bar" which I love the feel of but unfortunately can''t handle olympic plates.

I do not recommend this product to others.

Well, heres the thing. When you think you''re getting a steal because of such a low price, remember...You get what you pay for. That being said, the bar is not horrible, but it lacks quality. One end of the bar was actually pouring out some sort of dark colored dust that i can only assume is iron oxidation. The rest of the bar is chromed, however, when i turned the bar vertical you could clearly see the dust fall out and dissipate into the air. Anyway, the dumbell handles are alright. no complaints. However, if you''re used to regular weights, these olympic dumbells will take some getting use to (particularly the length of them) All in all, you really cant beat the price for the 3 pieces. Trust me, i checked and looked. So, may not be the highest quality but it will certainly get the job done.
