Body Bar''s Burn DVD

Body Bar''s Burn DVDKeli will lead you through a 60 minute workout using the BOSU, optional, plus the Body bar. I used a 6 lb. bar. You''ll do lunges with twists/rotations, dead lifts, then with rows all while standing on the BOSU. Push-ups are done on an inverted Bosu. You''ll also kneel on the Bosu while doing one arm curls with one leg out to the side. Try that for a killer exercise-I moved to the floor for that particular one. They show you modifications. Ab work is done lying on the Bosu: regular crunches, crunches with the bar, obliques (love those) super man fly, I found that hurt my tummy, so I moved to the floor, and lastly, the dead bug. I enjoy Body Bar dvds: straightforward, no-nonsense workouts with fun, interesting equipment, not to mention great instructors.

...Don''t let the title of "beginner" level fool you. This workout requires push-ups, pendulum steps across the top of the ball, jumps on ball, marches on ball, and other exercises that challenge your balance and gets your heart rate up.

Many of the exercises are done with a body bar, but you also use a broom/shovel handle or a cane (although you won''t quite feel the same burn if it''s not "weighted" somehow). And if you don''t have a BOSU Ball, there are modified versions of the exercises available as well.

If you''re like me, I enjoy doing many BOSU exercises barefooted. But this workout is paced in such a way, that sneakers would be safer for your feet, and would also provide you with better support and balance.

Overall, this workout is challenging--even if you are physically fit. It is definitely worth the investment.

Workout is well lead and instructed. Was not as challenging as I had hoped but all-in-all pretty good. Basic enough to keep up.
