Bodylastics 19 pcs Resistance Bands *STRONG MAN STACKABLE Set (202 lbs.)

Bodylastics 19 pcs Resistance Bands *STRONG MAN STACKABLE Set with 7 anti-snap exercise tubes, Heavy Duty components, carrying case, DVD and FREE 6 month membership to LIVEEXERCISE websiteA year ago I suffered a knee injury that I am still recovering from. I have been through physical therapy but was seeing little success in the exercises they gave me to perform with the Thera-Band material. The doctor suggested I needed to use weights and concentrate on leg extensions and squats, however I do not have access to weight equipment without joining a gym. Looking for an alternative, I came across Bodylastics while researching on the Internet. After comparing their product to several others, I decided to place an order. Wow! I was really impressed by the quality of the product when the set arrived. I was not really expecting the construction and materials to be so rugged. The clips make it so easy to configure the bands to my needs. I had already watched some of the Bodylastic videos on YouTube and I was all set to go with the leg extensions and squats. After just a couple of weeks of use, I can already feel the difference in my knee. The DVD that came with the set was defective but a quick e-mail to Bodylastics brought a new DVD in the mail in just a few days. Would I purchase Bodylastics products again? You bet I would! I am very happy with my purchase. After I progress a little further in my recovery, I will be ordering an additional 30 lb orange band. And I also plan to use the bands and the excellent videos to explore some other exercises to help improve my overall strength.

Excellent bands. i am using these for p90x and they are working great. you can slowly amp up your resistence with these to avoid injury as well as maximize muscle gain. definetly worth the money

....NOT a substitute for free weights and/or machines. These bands should be used as a supplement, not a replacement. The main problem I have is the lack of negative resistance. More muscle is built on the negative phase of an exercise than on the positive phase. Don''t get me wrong,I''m not a bodybuilder, just a 63 yr old guy trying to keep what muscle I have. That won''t happen with bands alone. If you''ve ever worked on a Bowflex, you know what I mean. You just don''t FEEL the negative part since the resistance is decreasing as you stretch. The same with bands, but with far less negative resistance than the Bowflex.

Another thing I noticed is that you are limited to how many bands you use,not by your relative strength, but by your bodyweight. I weigh only 155 lbs,but am rather strong for my size. If I add bands that have a resistance greater than my weight, then I am being pulled toward the door or floor. Unless you can find a way to anchor yourself this is a problem.

I recommend these bands for people who are just starting out,or for women. If you''re looking to build muscle stick to free weights and machines.

Great product. I work in the road and can''t always go to a real gym so these work amazing when you need some sort of workout. Holding up really well. Been using for a month so far. Heavy duty design and the door mounts work great too.

So far so good. Very compact, durable, and seems as efficient as regular dumbbell equipment.

Highly recommended. Worth the investment financially and physically. The company and their webpage seems very professional.

I also recommend buying a set with the extra ankle/hand straps and door anchors in case you lose one, or for some remote reason, one of them rips or breaks.
