Years and years ago, I''d buy these for my dance class. Fast forward 20 years, I get these now for everyday wear. The footed tights are much sturdier than L''eggs and other hosiery. Every time I wear L''eggs (any kind), I''d get a run in the 2nd time I wear it. Unlike the other reviewer, I''ve worn the Danskins now for about 3 years, and not a tear, nor a run. It also helps I think that I got it in size C instead of B. I prefer to wear tights with shorter skirts so I don''t feel exposed, and the larger size covers real well like leggings, and eliminates runs and tears by not being so stretched. My fav colors are the light toast, toast, white and black. The pink only works well with certain colors.

I ordered these in both Light Toast and Classic Light Toast to figure out which color was which. Classic Light Toast is a red-based tan, somewhere between Capezio''s Suntan and Light Suntan. Light Toast is a yellow-based tan and is slightly lighter than Classic. Classic Light Toast is way too pink for me and was returned. Light Toast is the right color family, but too pale. However, if you have this problem, you can tea-stain the tights darker. Just put the tights in a pot with some water and black tea bags. Cook on medium heat and rinse with cool water.

In terms of comfort and wear, I think these are on par with my other tights from Capezio, Bloch, and Body Wrappers. My issue is getting the right color more than anything else.

I got these for ballroom dancing competitions instead of doing spray tanning. They looked nice and matched my skin fairly well, but tore at the toes when I put them on the third time. Maybe I should have filed my nails better, but they also got a few runs in the calf area.

As far as dancing goes, they are very comfortable and do not obstruct the movement.

I bought this thinking that they would be like the old pair of Danskin microfiber skating tights that I had but I was SO wrong. These tights are literally comparable to a pair of $4.00 tights you can by at Walmart. They are not thick and sturdy like my old Danskin figure skating tights are, but rather thin and nothing special. I think this is the first purchase that I have ever made on Amazon where I actually felt ripped off for what I paid compared to what I got (and I order a lot on Amazon). I can''t believe these tights are selling for what they are when comparable tights are at Walmart for less then half the price.

I wear these instead of panty hose. I favor the light toast or black shades. Unlike panty hose, if sized properly and laundered per the manufacturers instructions these last a very long time without getting runs or holes. In fact, I have had these for over two years and an still wearing them.

While I wear these with all sorts of outfits and they look very nice, it''s when you can''t see them that they are most appreciated. I wear them under my jeans, trousers, etc. for an extra layer of warmth in winter. These come in handy because I live in a an area that is in a snow belt of Lake Michigan and it gets really cold.

My only advice is to go up one size on these. I should wear size B, but I buy these in C. The larger size allows for a little give in the crotch and waist area and isn''t as form fitting.
