So far these Cathe ones are great, and what I love best about them is that they fit like a glove, with a hole for each one of your fingers, including your thumb. This ensures a secure fit, and makes sure your glove won''t go flying off your hand while your doing punches (a huge problem I had with the Beachbody ones). They are easier to put on too and have an adjustable wrist band with a secure velcro and belt hook closure. The only complaint I have is that the part of the glove that covers my hands and has the "weight" in it feels a little loose and can''t be tightened, the weighted part kind of slides around the top of my hands, but I guess that could be be attributable to the fact that I have small hands. Problem easily solved by maintaining a little fist during the workout, which is really the point of these gloves during kickboxing anyway. They provide great resistance and can easily go into the washing machine when they get grimy (just remember to remove the weights first, which are enclosed in a zip-closure in the glove).Turbo Jam Maximum Results DVD Set 6 Workouts with Weighted Gloves [DVD]I have two pairs of gloves that I alternate for my workouts. These ones are great because they allow you to use your hands to grasp stability balls, resistance bands, and free weights. I use these with my turbo jam workouts and they fit great. I alternate them with gloves that do not have finger holes. I find that if I wear these every day the skin between my fingers gets raw and sore. Other than that they are great gloves!

I love the idea of weighted gloves. Each glove had 2 ½ pound weights, for a total of 1 pound per glove. The pros:
**great way to add intensity to kickboxing workouts.
**great way to slightly increase weights for strength training. Sometimes the increments between dumbbells are too big, e.g. 15 pounds may be too light, but 20 pounds is much too heavy.
**easy to clean. You can just pop them in the washer; but be sure to take out the little weights before you do.
The cons:
**the area around the thumb hole shredded after about 1 month of use. I''ve put duct tape around it, but it''s a pain to remove the duct tape when I wash the gloves.
**the little weight sacks leak sand. I''ve put duct tape around all the edges to stop this, but it makes the weight sacks bulkier and harder to fit back into the glove.
These gloves would work best for folks who use them as is and don''t keep switching the weights in and out of them. They might hold up better.
Overall, I would suggest a different brand that is higher quality.

Definitely a great buy. Good for adding extra weight for any workout. Only gave it 4 stars simply due to the fact that you cant really add more weight than what is provided (1Lb/glove, 2Lbs total). The material is really good and stretchy, easily fitting most hands. I have large hands any they fit rather well. A little tight around the thumbs but easily adjusted with some careful scissor work. I wear them as often as possible, in addition to wearing 10Lbs ankle/wrist weights, and do everyday tasks like cleaning around the house or simply writing out the bills. At first, it seems heavy and odd, but as you get used to them, you can really feel it. Try playing Mario-kart on the Wii and keeping your arms up! That additional weight will certainly make its presence known after a few laps! Really a great product to have for the modern day Wii workout programs. I recommend this product to anyone looking for a work out that you can do constantly and forget you''re even doing it.Want Fitness by Cathe 2-Pound Weighted Gloves with DVD Discount?
These gloves are a great idea, but the implementation is really lacking. Trying to stuff all 4 of those little sand bags into the S/M size gloves is a real pain and, not surprisingly, the flimsy zipper broke after only a few uses. Now I try to hold the weights in with duct tape , although that''s not so convenient if you want to change weights frequently, which I do in fact, I bought the gloves because of the weight flexibility, but I think I''m just going to buy 2 pound gloves and forget about the little sand bags. Just plain poor quality of construction.
