Savasa Yoga Mate

After getting frustrated at my balled-up towels and heavy washing machine loads, I opted to try Savasa''s Yoga Mate. When it arrived I was so excited, it fits over the mat perfectly, and is light enough to carry without any stress. The first use was equally happy, the towel worked very well, though I was a little taken aback by its thinness and harsher cotton weaving.

It fit into the wash machine very nicely, and was not a burden on the load as a regular towel full of sweat would have been. But the problems started after the drying, when, despite using a low-heat cycle, the Yoga Mate shrank to near 75% of its original size--no longer fitting over the mat, and certainly not allowing for the wide-leg poses of the standing Bikram session.

I think I''ll go back to towels, sure they are wasteful, but they do work. The concept here is good, but the materials just aren''t up to snuff.
