I also bought this band for use with P90X. I have dumbbells, so mainly this is used for pull-ups. Pulling up ones weight is not easy. We have a pull-up bar that we drape this cord over. I gave this cord only four stars because it is called a heavy cord and the weight that can be pulled on it is more than most bands, but I do not believe it could take 40 lbs of pull (20 lbs for each arm). If someone wants to build up to being able to pull up their body weight of 140 lbs, there is a definite gap there. I feel a five star band would indicate the maximum weight that it could be equivalent to.
That said this is the best band I have found. It says heavy and it is stronger than the couple of other heavy ones I have tried. We bought this for use with P90X as well. My wife used it successfully going through it once, although I suppose she didn''t apply as much pull as I was able to. Within 2 weeks of using it correctly, braced through a door (using a third-party door attachment, which was not the problem), the left handle plastic tube that feeds through the grip (which is hollow, and the nylon fabric passes through it) cracked. I was by no means pulling it so hard that it was equaling an actual pull-up, but it had a little tension at the bottom of the pull and I figured I''d use it for a few weeks and maybe get a heavier one later on or on a repeat of the program.
Again, this wasn''t a band-snap incident. This was the handle that cracked. By rotating that 1/2" crack away from the nylon fabric running through, my wife can still use it, but if I give it another go it''ll probably crack completely and be useless.

I was looking for a band to use for P90X and I was worried about the quality of the ebay band sets I found. I decided to pick this up in the hopes that it will last. I have used it once so far on a Shoulder/Arm workout and it seems like a quality band that will last. The sections that connect the band to the handle look like a good design and I can''t imagine the braided bands snapping any time soon. The ''heavy'' band might be a bit much if you are wanting to do toning instead of muscle building, so females looking to tone might want medium or light. I was able to do most P90X exercises with this band either straight or looped, but it was too much resistance for me on a few straight arm moves. I wish the bands were a little cheaper or adjustable so it was not $60 for a set of three. I''ll just stick with one for now.Read Best Reviews of Reebok Braided Resistance Cords with DVD Here
My husband bought this to work-out with. He''s 6''5" and the other ones weren''t tall enough for him. This works greatI have been doing P90X for a while and have been looking for a band that would not break while doing the simulated pullups using a band rather than a chin up bar. These work really great, I have been using them for months now and they are holding up pretty well.It has to be because the bands are braided which makes them quite difficult to break.I highly recoomend them and the video that comes with the bands is an extra bonus.
