I''m a sort of a big guy with wide shoulders, big chest to, 225lbs and with the vest I''m at 245lb, and I felt it to with this on. It wasn''t so difficult when I started but as I ran on I started to feel it and I was huffing and puffing all the way back and sweating. It bounced a little bit but no big deal. I must have run maybe a mile and it felt good to run like that and get a good sweat going and breathing heavy. I can''t wait to till I can run with this vest with no problem.
I love the way it fits, its high on my chest so it''s not down on my stomach and the construction isnt bad iether. I''ve read other reviews where it broke and the sand came out, I don''t see mine doing that for a while and it does then oh well, time for another one. All I can say is take care of it and when your done, dont just throw it down because it may puncture and the sand come out that way. Take care of this and it will hold up. Nothing last forever and as long as I get a some good usage out of it then I''ll get another one. It''s soft so it''s not pounding on me while I''m running either. I think this is a good by for the money and for anyone that wants to improve the cardio. I rate this 5, I don''t care what anyone says about it. This is a good buy, I love it so far.

I am a slender female and have been doing bodyweight training the last few years. I decided I wanted to intensify my workouts to focus my toning and bought the vest after seeing it at a Wal Mart Supercenter. When I finally bought it, I was glad I made the decision to add weight, but this vest is poorly designed, in my opinion. A reviewer noted that being a slender female would help, but I have also had rub burns and was even skinned at the back of one of my shoulders after a vigorous workout recently. It took me about 7 or 8 months to get to a point where I am able to do a high number of reps again while wearing the vest; but I also wore 10lbs in ankle weights and 8lbs in wrist weights, while using an additional 25lb weight plate and now 30lbs for lifting exercises. I am leaving a review for this vest because it feels like I have to move with a lot of restriction in my movements because it flops all over the place, with it fittest at its tightest. I have a chest, but that didn''t make any difference keeping it in place so I can workout. It is especially frustrating during burpees, pushups or high knee routines. I can''t wait to invest in a heavier, high quality vest, which I am in the process of doing right now. If you are thinking of using this to intensify bodyweight training, I would seriously consider something else. The ipod/mp3 holder that comes with it was totally useless to me, too, since it flopped all over the place right along with the vest. I would say it''s appealing to look at but that''s not what it''s for.Read Best Reviews of Tone Fitness Weighted Vest, 12-Pound Here
I have been walking with an eight pound vest, and felt it was time to step up the weight.I bought this 12 lb. vest and immediately added it to my daily walking routine. The extra weight really helped in my weight loss, and I love that the vest doesn''t feel like a life jacket.
But the vest doesn''t secure in a good spot. The closure is right in the middle of my breasts, so it doesn''t stay in place. After a few days I noticed rub burns on my back. I always wear a t-shirt under the vest, but it doesn''t seem to help. The vest slides down my back and moves as I walk. I am so bummed because its a nicely made vest.I put it on and the straps dug into my shoulders. I tried wearing it upside down, and it fit better, but still made my back hurt after a few minutes. The straps felt a bit better with a thick sweatshirt underneath, however the fabric has a strong plastic smell that made me feel sick. When the smell didtn''t go away after a few times of wearing it, I decided to return it. Although this vest only weighs 12 pounds, my back hurt more wearing it than it did with a 20 pound vest I had worn previously.
