ProForm 510 E Elliptical

My brother and I both purchased ProForm Elliptical machines, and mine broke down within 3 weeks, and his within 6 weeks. The frame weld on the side of my machine literally snapped, and I am only a 205 lb guy. He is a 175 lb guy and his only lasted 6 weeks with multiple problems. After the machines break down, expect to spend hours on the phone with Icon submitting pictures, and trying to get them to actually pick up the phone and fix the problem. I would never by a ProForm product again in my life, and neither would my brother. Hopefully this review helps one person avoid our pain.

A solid machine. Due note, the plastic coverings, especially the one covering the incline ramp are noisy. I highly recommend taking it off beforehand.. Make sure to lube every moving part heavily, I thought they were being generous with the packets of lube. Please use them. Another thing to mention,I had several screw coverings blocked by metal slag. I used a screw driver and dumbbell to knock the slag off. Some of the plastic came cracked, not a big deal as it was an aesthetic piece. Everything came like it should have. No extra or missing pieces. Runs quietly and the monitor is easy enough to understand and clearly read.

I''m glad I decided on the elliptical rather than the treadmill. Less impact on my joints, but I still get a good cardio workout! The manufacturer was great about sending out a replacement plastic cover that didn''t snap together properly out of the box. Looks good, works good, and it''s compact!

I enjoy my machine the only downfalls were the assembly (a lot of pieces) and the incline you have to set manually.

I purchased this elliptical machine from Amazon, and after unpacking it found that there were three cracked plastic pieces, one of them being the cover for the wheel. We contacted Proform to get replacement parts, but they told us that we would have to go through Amazon to get them. According to the rep at Proform they have been having trouble with the Amazon shipping people and would not honor any warranty for products purchased from them. Very frustrated, as the 3 damaged pieces would cost over $250 to replace!
