They look great. Nice feel to them. Sizing is not even close to reality. I ordered size large. Just about all my stuff is size large and some medium. This things fit like spandex and were about three inches short in the leg. It''s ridiculous. I would return and order a larger size, but I just don''t trust the sizing so I went with Pearl Izumi pants (size large which fit perfectly).I have no idea about the function of these pants in wind or cold weather. Again, they look great, and may function great. Just order a size up at least.
Construction quality seemed OK. Stitching was neat and no straggling threads out of the packaging. Fabric seems to be OK too, certainly wind resistant, though noisy to jog in when it rubs against itself. The zippers that are used are little on the flimsy side but that is common with most pants it seems. The only clothes that I''ve ever seen come with genuinely durable zippers are either winter clothes or jackets of some sort so I wouldn''t ding these too much for that. There is a sort of mesh fabric lining that goes down to the knees on these which felt nice and helped to keep things warm while wicking sweat but it would''ve been better if it''d had gone all the way down to the ankles.
Pockets were mediocre. They''ll hold your keys or a moderate sized cellphone OK but if your hands are cold then its a tight fit.
Make sure to order a size up. I ordered a XL and they were much too tight. Had to return them.
