Asics Women''s Quad Short

I bought these shorts after a friend''s recommendation. I run half and full marathons and need a way to carry gels, keys, etc. Everything I''d tried before was uncomfortable. These have three pockets for gels and a zippered pocket for keys/money.

I''m pleased to say the gels stay put without bouncing around. While the shorts themselves are very roomy, I did find the inner liner to be smaller than I like. They are also a tad shorter than the Nike shorts I normally wear. If vanity is an issue, you might not like that they appear a little bulky when the pockets are filled with gel. This is not normally an issue with distance runners.

Finding great running shorts with waist band pockets can be tricky, but the Asics quad short is a good place to start. The shorts are just the right length they don''t ride up on the inner thigh and cover your entire bum and upper thigh throughout your stride. There are three pockets with elastic tops and one zipper pocket on the waist band. I ran a half marathon with three packs of sport beans in the elastic pockets and a zip sandwich bag containing a bit of cash and my ID in the zipper pocket. The weight was a bit much for the waist band and it sagged some, but as soon as I used my first pack of sport beans the waist band perked up and I didn''t have any issues. I normally run in Nike Tempo shorts, but have been desperate for pockets on longer runs. The Asics quad short is just what I wanted. My only issue is with the inner short liner, it''s a bit on the snug side. I bought the medium shorts and found the liner more snug than the liner of the Nike Tempo shorts. Still this shouldn''t deter you if you are looking for a good pair of shorts with pockets. I haven''t found anything that worked as well as these yet.

I recently started running, and the fitness clothes I had was not very good for it, but this shorts are just made for it. As I have fat thighs, I burn with other shorts crotch rubbing to run, but with these shorts does not happen at all. Highly recommended.

Love this bright color and the style of this short is unique with the apron of 3 pockets along the top back. Cool design with the contrasting trim. Very lightweight fabric. Another reviewed remarked the inner pant liner was a bit snag and it is. Therefore, Im glad I got the Large so it all fits so comfy. I know I will wear this when I run in the extreme heat of the summer. Glad I got these as they are so unique and different from all my other running shorts.
