Fits how it''s supposed to. Zero issues out of the package. Very easy to assemble. Thickness is good. Top surface has a "tread" relief, but it''s still actually quite smooth. It could be more secure...I never feel like I''ve got great solid footing on it. It''s sitting underneath a squat cage, which holds it down well. Without something on it, since it''s foam and fairly smooth, I don''t think it would stay in one spot very willingly. I think this might be better advertised towards gymnastics, wrestling, or martial arts activities than something to put under weight equipment.

Anyway, all that being said, it is a decent quality mat. I wouldn''t buy it again to put under weights, as I think you want something heavier and more substantial for that application.

This is great for heavy dumbbell and barbell workouts on my tile floor. The foam is very dense and thick, absorbing all impact from 75lb dumbbells dropped from about 12". It''s easy to set up, comes with edge finishing pieces, and has a nice diamond texture to prevent falls.
