Lightweight , adjustable , smooth , and doesnt tangle like some of the cheaper jump ropes. I do some high speed stuff and this keeps up with me perfectly and at the same time it doesnt eat away at the edges of the ropes like certain leather jump ropes. The only downside to the awesome performance of this jump rope is that if you mess up on your time/jumping and this plastic rope hits you... expect some serious pain.

I have a number of jump ropes and they are a very important part of my exercise regimen. This rope, which by the way I spent much more on at a local sports shop) is one of the best ropes I have ever used, especially for speed training...I mean this sucker can move!

It has enough weight and balance to be perfectly comfortable and the bearing mechanism is smooth, nonbinding and pretty low maintenance. It is indeed adjustable to different heights and the adjustment process is quick and easy. I am 5''9" and it works perfectly. My friend, who I work out with all the time, is 5''5" and her rope works perfectly also.

Tangling is almost nonexistent. Each part is replaceable (hey, everything will eventually wear out), but I have not had to use any replacement parts yet even though this rope gets at least five hours per week of intense use. (I have had this rope for three months now.

The only downside is one that another reviewer has already pointed out; if you mess up and this thing hits you it does HURT and hurt bad. I have had my share of major whelps from this thing. The speed this rope travels and the weight cause this. Of course this is good as it gives you great incentive to now screw up much. I would not recommend this rope for young children and most certainly not recommend its use by them without adult supervision until you know for sure that they know what they are doing.

If you are in the market for a new rope, then I would strongly recommend you go ahead and fork out the coinage for this one...it will pay off in the long run.

3 months strong and the rope shows minimal signs of wear on the tubing after jumping on gym floors, rubberized floor and various mats. It does seem to stay kinked more often than not, but nothing that wouldn''t come out once I started my set, nor has it impacted my jumping. They do come out when I leave my rope in a heated workout bag (from the weather)! As for the bearings, occasionally one handle does squeak... not too loudly and infrequent enough for me to not break out any lubricant in annoyance. I hope to get a LOT of mileage out of this rope!
