Pearl iZUMi Transfer Long Sleeve Baselayer

I''m starting to sound like a broken record, but I really have been pleased with all of my PI purchases. This one is absolutely no exception. I was really enamored with my PI thermal base layer. But at times it was too warm for the thermals so I opted to try the Transfer out just out of PI''s reputation. From the moment I put it on I was impressed. The layer is form fitting, which is great. It also feels great to the body, wicks off sweat and keeps me amply warm even on those annoying chilly days when you can''t tell if you should wear more or less.

This one worked well in the following combinations. I use it with a short sleeve jersey for those cool early fall days/nights (around windy low 60 days or high 50s). I used this with a long sleeve race jersey for those low 50s days/nights. For 40s or so I wore this base layer with my PI pro softshell jacket. In the 30s or below I plan on using this with a long sleeve jersey and jacket combo. On all occasions, I felt plenty warm and comfortable. I can''t recommend this base layer enough (For the record I bought another one after enjoying the first one so much).

This base layer works great under the typical winter riding jersey. It is form fitting so those with a racer build will like the fit. For temps below 30 degrees or for long descents consider adding a nylon vest or jacket layer over the base and winter jersey. The amfib tights by pearl are also excellent.

Very nice, comfy and warm keeps arms warm with just a t-shirt on top and the Izumi jacket over that in 40 degree rides. Wash in cold water and hang up, ready to go the next day.
