Timex Women''s T5K498 Ironman All Day 50-Lap Plum Silicone Strap Watch

I love this watch--it looks so much nicer than the other timex ironman''s. It functions the same but looks more feminine and dressier!! It is perfect. I got the purple band--it is a darker purple--like mulberry.

I would highly recommend. I do wear this in the pool and don''t have a problem. It is water resistant but not water proof. My past experience is that after a couple of years, the water resistance must wear off as the watches will get cloudy. That is disappointing to me, but i''m usually fine with getting a new watch at that point.

I bought this watch on April 21st of 2012. Today is June 6th 2012, and the watch suddenly won''t let me set the timer or interval timer, which is the whole reason I bought the watch. The watch face flashes a bunch of random stuff when I try. It is 10 days past the Amazon return date, and so I''m out of luck. Oh yeah, sure, I can return it using the Timex warranty, but I have to send $8 plus pay the shipping to get it there. In addition, my training has to be put on hold or I can buy a new watch...or just guess at the times while I work out.

I bought this watch because my previous Timex watch broke. I''m disgusted with this purchase. If something is defective and stops working, Amazon should allow returns up to 60 or 90 days or longer. I definitely won''t buy another Timex, and I''m considering going to a brick and mortar store to buy the next one. At least there will be some one there to work with in person if it is defective. Even if I pay more at a physical store, I''d save money in the long run if I find myself in this situation again.

My previous Timex Ironman had a rubber watchband that came apart after two years: the function keys on the side no longer stayed in their slots. The watch continued to function without any problem, but I had to buy a new one just because no replacement band is available. I like this substitute because it has a regular band that could be replaced if needed. It took me a while to adjust to the side buttons, since they are a bit different from other Ironmans, but I like the larger face and overall look.

I purchased this watch a few weeks ago and I am so glad I did. I absolutely love it!!! When I first looked at getting it I wasn''t sure cuz I thought it might be too big but it''s not. It is perfect. And I love the night time feature; instead of a lighted display, the numbers on it glow making it so easy to read it in the dark. I wear this all day and night and it wears very well. Plus, I have received numerous compliments on it. If you''re in doubt on getting this, do it! You will not regret it.

Knowing how important reviews are, especially when buying a product you''re not so sure about, I am taking some time out to write a short review about the watch. After searching for a good digital watch online and in-store for over 2 months, I finally decided to buy this one. I was concerned that it would look too big for my narrow wrist, but it is just fine. It looks a whole lot better than some of the other digital watches because of the sleek silver face and buttons.

The buttons are easy to push and the watch is reasonably waterproof I haven''t seen it fog up so far, considering that I wear it in the shower too.

The alarm on the watch is audible, but don''t expect anything on the lines of a loud clock radio. The Indiglo works fine too.

As far as I know, there is no snooze function.

Overall, I''m happy with this purchase. I would recommend buying this!

EDIT: The strap opens up occasionally. But the watch is still waterproof.
