CW-X Women''s Stabilyx Ventilator Shorts

CW-X Women''s Stabilyx Ventilator ShortsI bought these compression shorts to run my first marathon. They were great and I felt that I kept my legs for longer throughout the race due to the strategically placed bands on the short. I scoured the internet reading all I could on shorts that would focus their stability on my IT band as I was afraid that if it gave up during the race that would be the end of my first marathon. However, after searching high and low I decided on these and I was not disappointed. The reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the mesh panels in front seem a bit fragile. I am very careful not to snag them on anything because one wrong turn and the shorts are ruined. Of course at this price, you want to be careful. I would definitely get these again. They run true to size. I wear a size 6/8 pant more on the 8 I weigh 145lb and I purchased the medium and I was very happy with the compression amount yet they were not too constricted. Good luck to all on your runs and races.

I love these shorts! I have several pairs of the 3/4 CW-X tights and I thought I''d try these for running in the hot, humid weather during the summer months. They are perfect! I am about 112 lbs and 5''3'''' and the small was great. Definitely recommend!

I''ve run without compression garments for years. What was I thinking??? Until you''ve run with a pair you''ll never know what they can do for you. Then the ultimate test...after wearing them for several long runs, do a long run without a compression pant. THEN you''ll never go back to running long in anything else. They reduce the muscle fatigue and discomfort that comes towards the end of the run so you have the stamina to finish strong After your run, slip into another pair for your recovery, wear them all day; and add a pair of calf compression sleeves. The muscle aches go away! Don''t think you can buy any old spandex pant and get the same results. You need a compression pant/short. They make a world of difference.

These shorts are so expensive, it took me awhile to justify spending this much money on shorts. However, I have an older pair of CW-X compression shorts and they''ve held up well over the years and were my favorite shorts. But I needed another pair of compression shorts and after trying about a half dozen other cheaper pairs (including Moving Comfort, Road Runner Sports and assorted other brands from my local Academy) I gave up. I had spent more money on cheap shorts that didn''t work than if I had just bought the CW-X shorts in the first place.

So I broke down and bought them and I sure wish I had to begin with. Here''s what I love:

Perfect fit these shorts are true to size and fit me well.

Don''t ride up or down I never have to adjust them during my workout. They stay put.

Good compression They are tight, but not so tight that they leave marks.

I''ve only had one bit of chafing with these shorts since I''ve owned them and it was once when the drawstring waist tie got into my belly button and rubbed in there. But that could happen with any shorts. I just make sure to keep the drawstring stays out. My only other minor quibble is that they are nearly impossible to get back on if you should happen to have to stop and use the bathroom mid-run, but really, that''s true of any compression short.

These are great and the next time I need new shorts, I''m not going to waste my money trying out a bunch of other cheaper shorts. I''m just going to buy these. They are the best.

Very happy with these the fit isn''t as snug as the tights, but every BODY is different, they were just right, whereas some of the CW-X tights in the same size were difficult to get back in place on a long run/bathroom break. I honestly could feel the support in hams/gluts on a mountain trail run, and I DO think they helped, maybe placebo, maybe true either way, I like them very much, and better than the tights. Seem to hold odor more than others, but comfort is spot on. If you have larger thighs/knee chunk (yes, even some fit people have that) they will show a bulge, but really, it was worth it I even had someone on the trail tell me I looked "so fit and in shape", which was probably being over nice, but maybe due to these. My husband laughed and told me I had no body fat in them so if looks are important (which my times on the mountain are more important to me) you probably would be thrilled. And the times on the mountain seemed better too.
