If your goal is to temperarily test a mounting site before using a permanent mount, this will do the trick. However, if you''re looking for a more permanent solution this may not be for you. The picure shows pretty sturdy materials: webbing, metal rings, etc. Unfortunately what you can''t see is a plastic buckle on the back side that allows for adjustment of the length of the yellow strap, thus allowing adjustment of the heavy bag height. This buckle appears to be made of plastic. After about a month of use, this buckle on my mount snapped the center piece of the buckle. Luckily for me I had a permanent mount on hand and just made my installation permanent. I suppose is you were to go to your local hardware/camping/surplus store you could find a sturdy replacement buckle.

The concept on this isn''t perfect but it works once you adjust it correctly...which is tough based on the way the strap cinches.

The major issue with this thing and why no one should waste their money on it is that the adjustment clip is made of cheap plastic. We hung it up at the gym I work at and within 5 minutes of use (by no means extreme at that), it had snapped.

I was skeptical when I saw the plastic clip and was proven right in short order.

Extremely disappointed.

The plastic adjustment clip caused this to be a terrible purchase. It broke after only a few days and I nearly had a 100lb heavy bag crush my foot. Don''t buy this. It really is not worth the time to open the package let alone the money they''ll charge you for it.

I feel like if they had a more heavy duty clip then the product would have worked fine.

Every Everlast product I''ve ever bought has been of really great quality until this piece of crap. I bought this to keep from completley ruining 2x4''s in the garage with the chain I had been using. First off the yellow strap is very thin and smooth so when I first hung my 75 lbs bag the weight was making it slip through the buckle almost coming off. A little adjustment and it seemed at least ok enough to give it a go. After a minute or two the metal slot the D ring goes through turned sideways and put the strap in an ackward position but still seemed to hold up. Ok workout time. So I thought. Not even 2 mins in the stitching that holds the D ring in place on the strap snaps and my bag just falls to the ground. Wow. I mean any cheap 99 cent strap from the hardware store would''ve held up 10x better than this. The only upside to this was the sleeve it comes with its actually really good quality . I pulled the busted strap out. Put my old chain through the loops of the sleeve and hung my bag back up. Hopefully it''ll keep the beam from getting chewed up by that chain. I seriously just bought this less than 5 hours ago. My receipt doesn''t even have a wrinkle in it. What a piece of crap.

Everlast was always my favourite manufacturer of boxing equipment.

I''m an architect from Germany and were looking for an good and aesthetic, non permanent solution to fix a 60 kg bag on a wall mounted chin up bar.

They don''t sell this product in europe and I ordered it in from the US amazon site, now I know why they don''t sell it in europe.

If you have a thick wooden beam, maybe this bag hanger would do the trick, but it really isn''t universal.

The converting looks really good and the quality is excellent for this low price, but the concept just can''t work.

If your beam or bar isn''t really, really stable the hanger will ruin it over time.

The hanger deflects all non strictly vertical forces who appear on your bag and appear on the suspension right into horizontal forces and transmit them into the beam or bar. There are metal core poles integrated in the leather part of the hanger, maybe they thought this would spread the vertical forces to a broader contact surface, but that also concentrates all non vertical ones into strict horizontal forces.

Beams and bars are usually designed to only cover vertical forces, if you don''t use it on a pole beam or anything like that, any wall or ceiling mounted pole or bar will destroy it''s anchorage. Anchorages are usually constructed for strict vertical forces (because of earths gravity), seems like the guys at Everlast don''t know much about statics.

My advice is to just use a simple chain suspension, lay a pice of leather or felt underneath if you don''t want to have scratches and marks. Maybe it won''t look as nice as the solution with the bag hanger, but it will do the job so much better.

I would even go as far and assert this product to be dangerous, maybe that''s why it didn''t get the certifications to be sold in europe.

My appeal to Everlast is to really over think the concept of this product and redesign it. The quality is great and I''m kind of disappointed they could mess it up this hard.
