I purchased this locally for $100 at the Academy. When at the store I tested the floor model out gave it a bit of a hang and a swing here and there. It was a bit creaky and I could probably tip it over(assuming that''s what I was trying to do) but as most exercise needs to be controlled, I''m not too worried about that. The main reason I purchased this was for p90x. Most of the doors in my house have a wall too close to one side or the other to use a door hanging style pull-up bar and because I am 250 lbs and 6''3" I didn''t feel comfortable spending $60 for the P90x one when I wasn''t sure how well it would work for me. The Only suggestion I have for anyone who buys it is to not tighten any of the hardware completely until the product is fully assembled I did and had to take it half way apart to get some of the holes to line up. overall it''s pretty simple to Put together a 13mm 14mm wrench/ratchet and a Phillips screwdriver is all it takes. Personally I used a Torque wrench to tighten everything down,(10 ft/lbs seemed good to me) going over all the bolts a few times to make sure everything was secure. After I had finished assembling it I gave it a little test run everything feels good It doesn''t creak or lean as the floor model did (I''m assuming the one there was pretty old/abused and the hardware may have been loose)The price and the fact I could pick it up locally really made the decision. I read the other reviews and wondered how incredibly tight the guy who broke the hardware must have been turning it, or how some of the hardware could be missing when it seemed pretty well secured in my box. Either way I give it a 5 because It serves the purpose I bought it for.

Body Champ Power Tower is one of the best around! I looked around for several months and finally found this one at a local Academy Sports and Outdoors for $100!! Best quality and price, can''t beat it! I knew I wanted to test it out in person to make sure it was sturdy enough to not shake while performing pull-ups, chin-ups, and dips, which it was.. One of the best pieces of equipment I own. Performing body weight excersises are some of the hardest to do and I am noticing more soreness/growth with body weight + weight workouts rather then weights alone.
This was also very easy to put together, maybe an hour?
I also like that the pull-up bar is opposite from the dip station, so when you are performing pull-ups the dip station doesn''t get in the way.. good luck!

I received the box all banged up, both ends were open from being dragged around or used as a handle. The cardboard was thin and easily ripped. The parts were not protected against each other so several had rub marks on them. I understand it can be difficult to ship and move a 75 lbs box however, if the parts are packaged correctly to start with, and the cardboard box is heavy duty, then these issues could have been prevented. Because the package was banged up so bad, the included hardware package had broken open and 11 of the 14 primary bolts were originally missing 9 of them stayed in the box, 2 are still missing and I have to contact Body Champ to get replacements.
As for the machine itself, overall, it is fairly sturdy. The main uprights flex pretty good when I''m on the dip handles but hold up when I''m doing pull ups or leg lifts. The handles on the wide grip pull ups slide off easily so I recommend some Gorilla Glue and possibly some tape to keep them in place.

This is a great tower at just the right price. I have no feeling of instability with dips, pull-ups, leg raises, and the push up bars are a nice bonus. I am very happy with this addition to m home gym!

I''ve had this about 2 months. I''m 5''10" 140#, and it works great for my size/weight. I use it every other day. So far it has held solid as a rock, and that''s with me using an additional 25# when I workout. So, you know, do the math (140+25) LOL. I got it from Academy ($100) because my brother got one there (he is bigger than me, and he checked out many prior to purchase). Clearly it is the best bang for buck. This thing will last forever. But it does take some time and patience to put it together. It''s worth it. You can''t beat it...unless you find one already assembled!!! :D Happy working out!
