Pearl Izumi Women''s Select Tri Shorts

Pearl Izumi Women''s Select Tri Short, Medium, Black/Pink PunchI own several other brands of cycling shorts and decided to order these. I''m a size 2, 110lbs and I couldn''t get one leg in the small. I''m returning those and considering the large. I can''t see the medium fitting much better. I wear LOTS of compression gear and have never had something that tight. Just wanted to post not to follow the sizing charts.

I really liked the fit and feel of the shorts. I used them for my first sprint tri. I ordered a medium but should have gone up a size they were pretty snug. The band around the bottom of the leg had this "sausage" roll effect I wasn''t thrilled with BUT the shorts stayed IN PLACE through all 3 legs of the race. I never adjusted them once. I also like the small pocket in the back which I used to bring Gu on the run.

I was over all pleased with these shorts.

Great fit, and a nice small crotch pad to provide a little cushioning on the bike, but you''re not wearing a wet diaper when you finish the swim.

Love this Pi tri short, I plan to use it for some triathlons that Im doing this year. I agree with the others who suggest to order one size up. I am 5ft4in, 135lbs, and I usually wear a medium, but I ordered a large in this Tri Short and the fit is really perfect for me. I have tried it out in the pool several times and it stays in place due to the thick elastic at the bottom of the legs of the shorts. Id say that ordering one size up ensures that this thick elastic at the bottom doesnt end up too tight consequently resulting in sausage legs. It also has a drawstring at the waist and that helps too. The padding is quite minimal and just enough to dry relatively quick.

I bought these right before my first tri as I wanted a pair of shorts that were longer, yet didn''t have the bulky chamois. Didn''t weigh me down on the swim, was comfortable on the run and did it''s job on the bike.
