MIO 0034USBLK Energy Pro with FitStik Strapless Heart Rate Watch

Documentation is lousy and the watch face scratches VERY easily. I bought it to use as a regular watch plus heart rate monitor...I have only had it a week and a half and the crystal face has several scratches already probably would be okay if only used when working out. The feature for just touching the metal on the face to get instant heart rate is good but the various levels and sub levels when using the chest strap are very complicated. I still have not figured out how to RESET the readings to zero....

I''ve been a MIO owner for years, I loved all their watches that let you touch the sensor and not have to wear a chest strap. However MIO''s watches have enabled me to run further and attend more classes at my gym where a chest strap would be useful. I bought the energy pro and I love the flexibility of being able to get your heart rate reading form the strap and without the strap if you like. Unlike the other comment, I found the user guide super easy to follow and have had had no problems with the watch face. A great product!

I really like the heart rate monitor. I usually use it without the chest strap, as the straps tend to aggravate me. I have used the chest strap on cardio days when doing intervals so that I don''t have to keep taking my heart rate, but while I''m lifting I usually have just the watch part on. This hrm actually has quite a few tools that I haven''t used yet.

The only disappointment I have is that "FitStik is compatible with any PC" really means "PC" the program is not compatible with Apple MacBooks or iMacs (unless you have Windows on it). I wish it would have been spelled out a little more clearly, but the hrm itself is a very good item to have.

Does what it says it does perfectly. So why 3 stars? Screen scratches way too easy. I wore it only a few times and I can''t remeber bumping it anywhere but I have a few scratches on the screen. The screen''s material is way too soft.
