Sportline Women''s Solo 960 Any Touch Step & Distance Pedometer Heart Rate Monitor Watch

Sportline Women''s Solo 960 Any Touch Step & Distance Pedometer Heart Rate Monitor WatchI''ve had this watch less than a week so I haven''t been able to use it to it''s fullest yet. It does seem overwhelming when you get it to figure out how to input all the info and use the watch but if you sit down with the directions for an hour or so it''s easier to understand than you think. It''s a good sports watch for pedometer and heart rate for the price. The only thing is I did want a pedometer to monitor how many steps per day I took and I have to hit the start button every time I get up from my desk. So it does keep the total steps for the day but it doesn''t continually record it.

I purchased this watch about two weeks ago and have been consistently wearing it during the day and when I am working out. The thing that stands out about this watch before anything else is the ease of the heart rate monitor. With a touch to the metal casing around the face of the watch, it gives you your heart rate (which I have been found to be accurate against counting it myself the old-fashioned way).

The watch has all kinds of functions that I''m not even using since those three have been the most useful in my workout routine. It has a lap counter, stop watch, it tracks distance, speed, average speed, steps, heart rate, calories, and it tells time, too.

The biggest cons:

It is not a "dressy" watch, so I can''t always get away with it at work... but show me a pedometer/heart rate monitor/watch combo that is.

When the watch is cold, it will sometimes hesitate before taking a heart rate reading. When it is hot, it becomes extra sensitive which can be frustrating when you are just trying to check the time.

A concern raised by previous reviewers was that the watch can be a bit intimidating to program and the instructions aren''t well written. After the initial programming, which I agree was like learning to program a VCR for the first time, I found that the best way to work with the watch was to just to wear it. Working the watch is now second nature.

I would recommend this watch to a friend or family member; especially if they are working on a foundational cardio program or looking to do interval training and need quick access to their steps and heart rate.

Bought this watch for my wife who likes to keep track of her steps daily. It has many great features and does so much more than record steps but the one down fall we have seen so far is with the light blue rubberized strap...it is impossible to keep looking clean. Soaps don''t work, neither do the instructions....my wife wanted a watch she could wear daily and not think about it...but the light blue is not realistic for daily wear if it can''t clean up well.

Seemed to work fairly well the first few times I wore the watch and was quite accurate. However I started to notice that a few times the watch was not counting my steps. After about a week and a half of wearing it during runs I noticed it was rarely working. I have tried everything: reprogramming it, checking batteries, etc. and the watch seems to only work occasionally. I do not recommend this product.

My co-worker and I purchased this watch to monitor our steps each day. We found the instructions to be very vague and hard to follow. We still are not confident that our steps are being calculated correctly. We are hoping that this watch will be better once we really understand the instructions. We do find the watch a little large on the wrist.
