T-BOW® Home Workout SystemIf I could, I would give this 4 1/2 stars. I bought this because I wanted something new to add to my fitness routine after I hurt my foot and didn''t do much of anything for a few months. Initially, I was going to get The Firm Wave, but after reading some reviews of it online, I discovered the T-bow and decided I''d rather have it.

What I like about it:

The concept is great. It works well as a step, as a way to work on your balance, as a tool for stretching and even as a tool for strength training. You can do almost everything you would need to, fitness-wise, with this device. I was a little apprehensive that I''d have trouble with it because I''m only about 5''1", but it worked out just fine.

I would recommend getting the complete set over getting just the T-bow, because the DVD offers a wide range of exercises that I would not have thought of on my own. The DVD is set up so you can choose which workout to do, and you have a variety of choices: cardio, a wake-up workout, stretching/relaxation (which is actually relaxing), strength, etc. The T-rings are used extensively throughout the strength sections. I had never worked out with resistance bands before, but I enjoyed these, and the DVD leads you through several exercises that would be difficult to do with dumb bells. I actually found myself preferring the bands because you can hold them in whichever position is comfortable for you (no more discomfort from holding on to dumb bells).

The woman leading the DVD is also a plus. She is not overly perky (hurrah!), and she gives good tips on form, and the right amount of encouragement when you need it. She also offers a few modifications for the exercises, so you can adjust the workout to your fitness level/goals.

The DVD is also nice because between each segment (see below for an explanation of the segments), there is a reminder to drink water. I appreciate that, and I also like the fact that it gives a good place to take break in the routine if you want/need a breather.

A few minor quibbles:

1. The DVD has several workouts. It also has one, 70-minute long "Power Workout". The other workouts are all made up of different combinations of segments from the Power Workout. For example, the cardio workout is a combination of the cardio segments from the Power Workout. I don''t mind this, but I figure you should know that before buying so you aren''t surprised.

2. The DVD is not programmable. Some workout DVDs with segments offer a way to program your own routine from all the available tracks. This one doesn''t, but the same thing is accomplished fairly easily by just doing the Power Workout and using your chapter button to move through the segments you want to do/skip the segments you don''t want to do.

3. The DVD is taught in both English and German simultaneously. I don''t mind this, as I took some German and can understand most of what she''s saying ("switch", "with the arms", "two more", etc.) In fact, I think it''s really impressive that the woman in the DVD can not only do the entire workout, but lead it, and in two different languages at once no less! However, I think it would have been nice to offer an English-only DVD for people who would prefer that.

4. I''d like to see the option to purchase different strengths of resistance bands, or perhaps a set of resistance bands, as part of the set.

5. I hope they offer another DVD so I can switch things up every once in a while.

Overall, though, this is a very nice set, and as I said in the headline, very versatile and fun. I''m really glad I got it.

Love this fitness product! The enclosed dvds are very well done and are easy to follow along. The board is so much fun you forget you are exercising. The delivery was very quick. After opening the box, popping the dvd into the player, I was up and using the T-Bow. The only "extra" needed was a pair of sneakers for traction. The instructor is very easy to follow and moves at a resonable rate for the beginner. After learning a few basic moves I was hopping on and off the board with ease.

This is a nice exercise program for the whole family. There are so many different workouts included everyone can have a favorite. No setup needed and easily stores away, but you will want to keep it out to use several times a day. It can also be relaxing and your back gets a really good stretch that feels great! I tried the Firm''s Wave and it doesn''t compare to T-Bow. T-Bow gives alot more choices and feels much sturdier. I also use all my old step dvds with the T-Bow. The best thing about T-Bow... it is fun! Get a T-Bow, put on your ipod and start rocking to the music. You''ll love it too!

I was very skeptical about buying an equipment that was approx. $200. I wondered if it was worth my money and was actually looking for the return policy in case I hated it.

I just received the t-bow equipment today and I changed into my work out clothes and started the dvd.

The pro to this equipment is that you don''t feel much straint on your back, neck and knee when you work out. The dome-like top supports your body very well and I''m actually thinking of using this equipment when doing yoga as well.

They also do the relaxation/cool down longer than other work outs I''ve been doing which was extra good.

Compared to the European equipment, this equipment is made of plastic. It doesn''t slip that much, but one of the movements I was doing was a bit hard for me to do because I had hard time balancing myself with the equipment. That, I will get better as I improve on the workout...

Another thing I wanted to let you know is that, the instructor''s instruction is not as exciting and well-described as the American version. I wish there would be an american instructor rather than a German-speaking instructor...she uses German from time to time, and it''s a bit hard to understand her...though I can follow her by looking at what she''s doing. So keep that in mind.

This work out definitely makes you sweat (a lot! At least for me...)

This is surely one of the the most exciting fitness discovery. Sturdy and a space saver. I have lost inches by following the dvd.It is never boring and fun specially when your doing the routines with your favorite music.
