These shorts are the kind you would probably want to wear over some spandex type shorts, they are super thin material and run very small. I order everything in a medium for bottoms and have no issues usually, these are closer to a small or extra small. I gave them to my friends 10 year old and they fit her (tiny!). I like these for running and like them to be comfortable so since they have a draw string I probably would have liked the fit of an extra large but will not order any more because of how thin the material is (you would be able to see underwear lines big time!) So if you like the light type of material then I would at go at least a size above normal if not two sizes.
Didnt like them personally, but maybe they will work for you. I returned them. Quality was fine, just didnt like them.
