Deltech Fitness Flat / Incline Dumbbell Bench

Deltech Fitness Flat / Incline Dumbbell BenchAfter much research and no reviews to read anywhere on the web I decided to take a chance and order this bench. Here is what I can report.

I am 5''10" 180lbs. I might go up to 85lb dumb bells max using this bench and it can handle it and much more.

The literature states 650lbs max including the person and by the looks of it I agree. This is a very sturdy bench.

When it arrived I noticed that the packaging is thorough. No scratches, dents or missing parts. The box was heavy. Assembly was diagram based, simple and fast.

The footprint of space taken up is a bit large. This is not a particularly compact bench. I could have easily used it at Bally, 24 Hour Fitness or the Golds gyms I''ve visited over the years.

The only criticism I might have would be that the cushions are a bit stiff. Maybe they will break in over time. Not that big of an issue, just looking for something to complain about.

I''m pleased with this strong, well made bench that is in another league than something found at Walmart.

I was looking for a bench and torn on which one to choose. This bench is not a bad buy for the price. I also purchased rubber matting and combined with the bench the area is slip-free and lets you feel how stable and durable the bench really is. I am very happy with the purchase and do not regret choosing this one.

This is the worse product I''ve ever brought from Amazon. The company that sales this bench should be ashamed for it poor quality. And Amazon should be ashamed for allowing such a product to be sold under its name. The bench came missing screws. Its almost impossible to do incline dumbbell presses because the bench doesn''t have ankle pegs to keep you from sliding off the edge of the bench. In addition, the company must have sent me the floor model because the paint was faded and scatched up. I simply can''t believe I received such a poor product. Buyers...you''ve been warned!!!!!

I ordered this bench to pair with my Deltech power rack. The bench is very sturdy but it is rather tall. I am 5''6ish on a good day so I need to put a few plates on the floor so I can get my feet set. I don''t count that as a negative for the review because I am short and I knew when I ordered the bench it was over 21 inches tall. As stated in a previous review, setting the incline is rather awkward but it is not that big of a deal. for the price and the weight capacity, it can''t be beat. I am 200 pounds so unless I start benching over 350 this bench should last me a lifetime.

I was looking for a flat to incline bench rated for 500+ lbs and priced at under 200. I''d seen some really nice ones by Elitefts and a few other manufacturers but they were just out of my range (500+ for a bench).

this one was rated at like 550, which is more than enough for me for the foreseeable future (how many of us work out with more than 500 on bench? Not me I''m afraid).

The bench arrived in good shape, and was easy to assemble, major points on that front. it''s fairly comfortable for me. I''m 6'' and about 245 lbs. So far it''s held up well but then I''ve only had it like a month. Mostly, for the price, it''s a good bench. Yeah some of the pricey ones are better but I''m not made of money. You can go cheaper but most of the cheaper benches were only rated to 250--I bench more than that, and I weight almost that, so I just didn''t trust them.

There''s two complaints on it though:

it''s a bit too tall for you to get good foot position when you''re benching (I put dumbbells under my feet) and it has the pin adjustments for angles, rather than having the arched thing with large fins sticking up that hold the bench up--it''s not a huge deal but it is a bit annoying. For the price though, I''ll live with it. Plus, the extra height fits better into my squat rack. The height may be a real advantage if you''re very tall (again, I''m 6'' so I''m not short) but for most of us, it''s an inconvenience.
