Aqua Jogger X-Cuffs

They are a little difficult to get on and off, but they work well once they are on. I would prefer a little more resistance to my workouts than this product can deliver, but for a beginner, it is not bad for the price.

The X-Cuffs are really great. They increase upper body resistance especially in the arms and upper back. They are quick and easy to put on. I use them with web gloves and get an excellent workout. They fit me perfectly. They were 1/2 the price a local sporting goods store wanted to charge me. I use them with the Aquarunners and really enjoy increasing the intensity of my workouts. I only wish I had bought them sooner.

I am taking a water aerobics class this summer. We use red "floats" around the ankles to increase resistance in the water; you have to work to keep feet down under the water. They are like life jackets for the ankles. After a couple of classes I was having pretty uncomfortable knee pain in one leg. I am 3 years post op total knee replacement in both knees, so I am careful not to cause problems again. I had to stop the "floats". I saw these Aqua Jogger cuffs and decided to try them. They are great! They provide some resistance when moving through the water, but not as much as the floats provided by the pool. They were perfect for me. I was able to increase the workout without the resulting pain. They are very easy to put on and remove. One of the X cord (?rubber) is attached, so you don''t have to worry about losing the straps. If you put these on with the inside button on the ankle bone, it will rub, but you can easily turn the cuff to an area that is comfortable. I am larger than I should be (how''s that for tact", and these fit well, even a little loose. If you have really skinny ankles they might be a little loose.

If you are young and healthy with normal strength in your legs, these may not provide enough resistance for your liking. For older folks or those with physical limitations, they are great.
