Cap Barbell Dumbbell Set

We had to coordinate shipping with a freight co. which was a pain. When the box arrived it was half destroyed. Exactly half the hardware was missing and the stand had a very sharp bur on the steel holder right where you put your hand to put away a 10 pound weight that poked me pretty good but, this could have easily cut a finger badly. Not only those issues but, probably the most disappointing is that these barbels are bulkier/bigger than most dumbels. Meaning they are hollow so to make the weight they are bigger. Comparing the set to a solid cast set, the Cap dumbels are about twice the same size as a solid cast set. This means if you use them for circuit training they bang up against everything such as benches, your body, each other, walls, etc. My opinion, spend the extra money and ensure you get a soid cast/smaller set.

I received this product in good order, and it is what I expected.

HOWEVER it was missing parts for the assembly of the stand. There are 1/4" inch washers that are required for the bolts on both sides of stand. I was short about 20 of them! May not sound like a big deal, but that meant two trips to Home Depot (miscounted and needed more that I first thought) to get the missing washers.

Supplier, please take note. Double check your order fulfillment process and make sure that ALL the washers are included.

The rack is sturdy. Dumbbells are, well, heavy chunks of metal. They do have a nice finish coating them. Overall a good price for a good product. Just what we expected. Just what we expected.
