Travel Kit

This is a quality product that makes it easy to work out at home or take with you when traveling. It''s more convenient and easier to handle than hand weights. The bar and bands are easy to put together, take apart and store. There are 5 different strengths of tubes that are easily interchangeable. The only thing missing is a good video to accompany the system; the kit comes with a fold-out paper of exercises to use with the J Fit. I just saw there is a new Pilates DVD system coming out (on TV) using a bar and tubes very similar to the J Fit (Mari Windsor, about $90). The J Fit needs to add a great DVD for those of us who need to be accompanied during exercise. The J Fit has alot of potential for variety: being used with the bands, with hand weights or Pilates moves. The band system is effective and a nice change or addition to lifting weights.

Good construction. Colored bands help determin the resistance. Works great for travel. I would not use it every day. A real gym is better but you can still have a great workout with the bands. A workout booklet is included and provides a good how to starting point. Good for what it is...a travel gym that fits easily into an overhead luggage size bag. There are some pros and there are some cons. To start with, this is a vast improvement over the Jfit travel bar. Where the travel bar only offered two very flimsy resistance tubes one black one yellow that had to be threaded through the exercise bar. This one has 5 resistance tubes with plastic clips that could be clipped to the bar, the handles, or ankle straps. The levels of resistance are not indicated as far as weight estimates go, but in order from easiest to hardest it is yellow, green, red, blue, black. So what are the cons. For one thing the plastic clips on the ends of the tubes are way too small and make switching the tubes a bit tedious and sometimes painful on the fingers. Since everyone has different strenghth levels the opinions of resistance are going to vary widely. For me the yellow and green tubes do nothing. The red one does get noticed a little and of course blue and black actually work the muscles, especially black. But if blue or black is too much and yellow is too light you can combine yellow with red or green. Or combine any color combination you like to get the proper resistance needed to get the most effectivness from any particular exercise. The final thing I want to mention is the price. This item is nice, but the asking price is much more than it should be. 25 bucks would have been fair. You COULD buy this if you like, but for less money and much higher quality everything: resistance bands, ankle straps, handles, workout book and storage bag you can buy the BODYLASTICS Max Tension set. Currently $35.00. The only thing you don''t get is the bar which you will find you don''t need it anyway. IS THAT HELPFUL FOR YOU? Ya bum...

I have a lot of experinece with the rezinstance bands and workout equipment, but if you are serios about getting into it, don''t buy this kit. Here are the rpoblems with thise so called travel kit:

1. It''s not areal travel kit. The bar is 3 pieces, (not shown in the online picture) an dit will take too much room in your kuggage.

2. The bands are cheap and not the standard build. The light band is as thin as my small finger. The one that is supossed to be heaby (red color I think) is thin too. I have some beachbody bands and the light one is as thick the J Fit heavy one.

3. The bar clips are very cheaply amde.They are crooked, maybe they amde them like on purpose so you can slide the bar pieces easier, but you can see the otehr end of it right thru the hole. So it looks liek will break quickly.

Overall the seller misleads the buyers.

I gave 2 stars because it is alight kit, but too large to carry in your luggage.
