I was surprised to open the box and find the dots were holes. I guess I missed the description of the dots being actual holes in the mat. The holes make an uneven surface for footing. Doing the dot drills is ideal bare footed. You have to have shoes on for the mat or it will hurt the bottom of your feet if you land partially on the mat and partially on the hole (the floor). I would say the mats without the holes as dots are preferred.

This is something that I needed for the team to use to work on their speed agility drills. It arrived quickly as it said it would.
