Valeo Women''s Weighted Power Gloves (Gray, one Size)

I take a non-contact kickboxing class set to music. I am a very fit 50-year-old woman so I decided to take the class to the next level and purchased some blue 1.5 lb gloves (each hand) at a big box store. The gloves were too big, flopped around on my hands and, frankly, they were too heavy!

So I ordered the Valeo Women''s Weighted Power Gloves.

*The fit is snug (it takes a little work to remove them), but that''s good because they don''t move during the class. There is a Velcro tab at the wrist.

*The 1 lb. of weight in each glove sits on top of your hand. The extra weight definitely makes the class more of a challenge for my upper body!

*I like the gray color with touches of pink

Great workout gloves! I use them with Turbo Fire. I had some that beach body has but they were weird fitting and not very comfortable, but these fit like a glove and are perfect.

I just got these in the mail (from Amazon) and couldn''t wait to try them on so I haven''t actually used them for a workout yet, but they fit GREAT! I feel like the weight is distributed more evenly across the back of the hand than the other style of weighted gloves with the open palms and they don''t look like you''re wearing gigantic sand balloons on your hands, plus they just feel more secure with the full glove design and are WAY more comfortable.

I originally purchased a pair of the other style (made by NordicTrack) and didn''t like the feel of them because they rubbed between my fingers and I couldn''t get the velcro wrist flap tight enough to stay secure despite it being the small size for women. Plus, the weight on the backs of the open-palm gloves were like giant lumps of sand that threw the balance off and they simply didn''t feel secure (other brands might have a better design than the NordicTrack ones). I found these Valeo gloves before I tried the open-palm ones for a workout, so I decided to order the Valeo''s since I thought the glove design would work better. I''m glad I did because they fit amazingly well and just feel more functional, so I''m definitely going to return the open-palm ones.

I did not have any trouble with the fit... I actually have a little room in the fingers, unlike other reviewers, but my ring finger is a size 4 1/2, so maybe I just have smaller hands. The wrist velcro was perfect too... I can actually cinch down the straps without having the flap hanging over... plus it was easier to get the velcro tightened than the other style I tried because the shape/design just holds it in place better while you''re pulling with one hand. I absolutely don''t regret buying these AT ALL! I can''t wait to try them out at my next workout and will try to post an update to my review if I remember.

I just did my first workout (non-contact cardio kickboxing) with these gloves and I still LOVE them. I''ve never worked out with weighted gloves before and was concerned that the weight might throw my movements off and potentially risk injury if they didn''t fit right, but these fit so well and the weight is distributed so evenly that I never felt like any part of my body was being strained to use them and my workout was a lot more intense. I did notice some sweating around the bases of my fingers (which I assume you''d get even with the open-palm style ones) and my palms did sweat a little, but it wasn''t any more than they do without the gloves. There were no funny odors or staining from any of it. If I have a sweatier workout than usual, I plan on dusting the insides with baking soda afterwards to help absorb the excess moisture and help prevent any potential odor build-up since preventing it is a lot easier than trying to wash it out later. I ABSOLUTELY recommend these gloves, especially if you''re new to using weighted gloves and want something secure on your hands.
