Pearl iZUMi Women''s Infinity Running Short

I have a heavy training schedule and run 40+ miles per week. So, I take my running clothing choices seriously. This short appealed because it had a zipper pocket (essential for holding my cell phone) rather than just an internal "key" pocket. Plus, I normally have found the Pearl iZUMI clothing to be well made, which is why I decided to try these.

These shorts were not well suited to running, despite the name. My cell phone, which fit just fine in the back zipper pocket, was apparently too "heavy" for these shorts, since they proceeded to slip down my waist as I started running. I attempted to tighten the drawstrings on it, however, the drawstring is a light-weight, elastic material, and could not tighten enough to bear the weight of the small cell phone in the pocket.

Fortunately, I had a hand held water bottle cozy that had a pocket and was able to put the cell phone in there. After the phone was out and the pocket was *empty* however, the shorts started riding *up.* I kept fiddling with shorts on the whole 10-mile run so annoying. These will, unfortunately, have to be used for non-running activities, when fit and comfort are less important.

If you''re looking for a comfortable running short with a pocket that can hold a cell phone or gels, I recommend that you instead look at this Adidas short, which I purchased at the same time as this one. This is the second pair of these shorts I have purchased. They are super breathable and comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone that likes to run in warm weather.

I''ve been searching for a pair of reasonably priced shorts and when these went on sale I jumped. I run 30+miles a week and wear an xs and found these hold a small cell phone just fine and haven''t used these to carry just gels yet but I imagine it similarly performing well for me for my upcoming marathons. I love the split short feeling and the fabric is so ridiculously loose and light to me;the inner brief perfect as well.
