I came across this Icebreaker jacket in a store the other day. I own other Icebreaker clothing, but had never seen this coat before. It is beautiful. As soon as I tried it on, I knew that I had to add it to my wardrobe. My old wool peacoat is boxy and doesn''t keep me very warm. My old peacoat is a nice coat (and it wasn''t cheap), but it doesn''t offer any of the slim "fitted" look like this Icebreaker coat.The instant you try it on, you can tell that it''s going to keep you warm. It is thick without feeling bulky. It is more of a fitted, contemporary look, and the pockets, zippers, and interior lining are all extremely high quality. This is not a cheap coat, and I wouldn''t expect anything less for the price. It feels and fits like an expensive coat should. It will replace about 3 of my current coats immediately!
Not mentioned in the item description is that it has "soft, stretchy internal cuffs that exclude drafts". While it has normal wool sleeves that hang to your hand, it also has tight elastic internal cuffs that cling to your wrists to keep out the wind. Think of it like having rugby-shirt-style sleeves on the inside to help keep you warm.
I''ve tried this coat over my Icebreaker 320 quarter-zip wool sweater and it fits perfectly. There''s no way I''ll be cold if I wear the Icebreaker 320 sweater w/ this new Legacy coat. You can wear this coat to a nice event w/ slacks and a more formal look, or you could wear it every day with jeans. Either way, you''re going to really like how you look. I highly recommend this sweater IMO, it''s well worth the price.
