Pearl Izumi Men''s Infinity Jacket

Pearl Izumi Men''s Infinity Jacket, Shadow Grey/Black, LargeI am a light runner, ranging about 6 miles a week. This jackets is great for mid 50''s and high 30''s. Not a winter running jacket, may need to wear an extra long sleeve shirt when it hits the 30''s or below. I ran with this jacket in the rain when it was about 65 degrees out and it performs well. Keeps you very dry and warm and plus it breaks the wind.

Here are the features of this jacket:

-Lightweight

-Vents on the back

-Breathable (Strip of spandex material facing towards the body from wrist to armpit area)

-Windproof

-Waterproof (Drys off fast)

-Does not restrict movement

-Not sure if this jacket wicks liquid from the inside out since I do not sweat easy. Although you can cool off real easy from unzipping the jacket a bit since there are vents under your armpit to wrist/back.

-Fist covers from the inside of the sleeve, useful when running in the rain/snow

-Only reflective from the shoulder design and back logo

-Just one small pocket on the right arm that can barely fit a phone

-Fits a bit snug

-Pull string on the bottom

That pretty much sums up the jacket. Compared to my buddys North Face Torpedo jacket, this jacket has a lot less pockets and padding but very light and has breathable material. This jacket would be worth it in my book since I wouldn''t mind wearing an extra shirt when running in 30 range temperature. I believe the sizing is true to what it says, I am 6''0 140 lbs, bought a Medium and this jacket fits just right. If anything this jacket is meant to be more of a snug fit.

I''m tall and I typically have to size up to get the sleeve length I need. However due to the fitted nature of this design I took a chance on ordering a large instead of XL. I don''t think I''ll be able to use the little built in hand things but other than that the sleeve length comes down to my wrist and doesn''t ride up when I move my arm around.

The weave of the material is silky smooth and there is a ton of vent to help keep your temperature regulated.

Winter Follow up; I''ve been using this jacket all winter for my outside runs. I''ve been out as far down as 20F, by changing what I wear under it its pretty easy to fine tune the amount of warmth to the weather. The jacket has held up fine and I actually just used it to go run in a steady rain. I was wet but not soaked at the end of my 50 minute run. I already gave it 5 stars and it has definitely earned them.

This jacket definitely does its job. I''ve run twice in subfreezing temps with only a base layer and a t-shirt underneath, and I was very comfortable at the end of both runs (one a three miler and the other over six miles). I just wish it had at least one more pocket (it''s on the right arm sleeve). That being said, I''m very happy with my purchase.

I bought this jacket for cool morning runs with occassional rain. To be honest I could not be more satisfied. The Infinity is extremely lightweight, maybe lighter than my actual running shirts. It also keeps me just warm enough that I do not need any additional clothing, gloves, hats, etc. The jacket comes with these hand covers that come attached to the sleeve that come in handy in case rain does set in. I highly recommend this product.

Great fit and sleeve length.

Zipper must be the cheapest on market because it''s flimsy, get loose and breaks easily. Forget about frequent and easy use. Very frustrating for such an expensive product.
