We picked this up on sale for $25, and I think that that is a fair price. The bench is relatively sturdy, well put together, and I use the bench now as part of my weight training. The ab rail itself? Well, it does what it claims to do. If you use the rail, you will find yourselves doing sit ups or crunches. You can rotate things to do oblique crunches. So far, so good, right? Yea. But honestly, this doesn''t do anything that you can''t do for yourself for free. Buy a workout DVD for $8, and mimic the fitness guru of your choice as they do crunches. You will be every bit as good as if you used this machine. There is nothing wrong with this device, honestly. It is relatively well made and does exactly what it says it does...the problem is at you don''t need a machine to do this. It adds nothing to the experience. It does not make it easier, more challenging, more effective, or any other superlative, except for more expensive. I give it 3 stars because it does not lie. It is sturdy, easy to assemble, and will do what you think it does. Ultimately., I use this as a workout bench, and disassemble the rail portion. Skip this unless you get it (like I did) for $25 or less, and you need a workout bench for weight training.
