I got this pull up bar because I thought "if I had one of these in the door to my room I wouldn''t be able to keep myself from doing a pull up". Turns out this one doesn''t stay hanging in the doorway (which is probably a good thing) but I''ve found myself using it daily anyways.As far as construction and dependability it''s pretty straightforward, steel bars with some padding on them to prevent scuffing, I have had no problems with it and don''t think I''ll encounter any soon.
I just use the bar like a regular pull up bar but it there are quite a few different positions/heights/angles you can have you hands at.
Overall, definitely recommend, helped me do start doing pull ups again and I think it could help you too.

Holds up to several weights and types of people using it. All my roommates use it. I did not even need to put the extra supports in the wall.Plan on having a tough time with four bolts. The metal fabrication is not exceptional. The bolts do not hold tightly to the square insets that are meant to keep the bolts from rotating while installing the nuts. Good luck. A little extra effort will pay off when you''re doing the pull-ups every day.

husband uses this everyday. he hangs it on the wall by the hooks. (our apartment doesnt have any proper doorways to support it but it came with hooks anyway) i used to make fun of him that the damn thing will come down while he''s in mid pull up (hilarious). hasnt. very sturdy
