One word for this bench = OUTSTANDING. Now, let''s review why:

1. Perfect height and length for competitive lifters

2. 2 x 4, 11 gauge solid steel frame (most benches are 2 x 2 or 2 x 3 with 14 or 12 gauge steel.

3. I really like the footing which allows you to pull the feet in without a frame constraint

4. Great price when compared to other benches of lesser quality.

As previously mentioned by other reviewers, this is an excellent bench. I bought it to go with the Valor BD-7 Power Rack. Although I did not purchase this bench through Amazon (I went through Wayfair to avoid shipping costs), this is the third piece of Valor Athletics equipment that I have purchased the others being the BD-7, and the DG-1 Stationary Bench in ALL cases the workmanship and quality is superb. I highly recommend this bench along with Valor Athletics products.

While researching this bench along with the power rack and other pieces of equipment I was interested in just how much of a load they could take. While Valor was very forthcoming (yep, I called them and actually spoke to the owner a definite plus) others were not. In a nutshell it comes down to steel gauge thickness -as the gauge number increases, the material thickness decreases. So, a 14 gauge bench is weaker than a 10 gauge bench. Next is a list of common steel gauges and their thickness, I hope it helps: Gauge 10 = 9/64" (3.57mm); Gauge 11 = 1/8" (3.18mm); Gauge 12 = 7/64" (2.78mm); Gauge 13 = 3/32" (2.38mm); Gauge 14 = 5/64" (1.98mm).

This bench is awesome, extremely easy to assemble and very sturdy, if you dont want any complicated 500 dollar bench this is your bench to buy. and trust me if there was anything wrong with this thing i would be the first to complain but it is very high quality.

I recently ordered the Valor DA 6 Bench. Shipping time was accurate and the product was easy to assemble. Suurprisingly lightweight for as strong as it looks to be. I''m a hefty 164# and I''ve used for both bar and DB presses and have found well-balanced and sturdy. The pad is thick and squared so a wider user would find plenty of room to work. It even came with a nail polish bottle of touch up paint. Overall great bench, especially for the price. I earlier purchased the Pure Fitness Flat Bench. I can''t believe it has a 400# rating. I was unhappy with this purchase, but I guess you get what you pay for, so I bought the DA 6.
