I own several pairs of Columbia Titanium shorts in size 34; those fit great. Not this pair. Could barely button them and they were super-tight on my thighs. Male-prostitute-tight. Maybe if I went up a size they''d fit.
This is puzzling because the Silver Ridge shirts are true to size, or even a bit roomy.
Giving them three stars because the build quality is just fine. Had I bought them in person I''d probably be happy. But the small fit makes them completely unwearable and now I have to return them.

Bought these at the local military exchange for $40. I loved them but not the price and I am looking to buy some from amazon now. They were not too small like other shorts are normally. I have to wear loose fit jeans in a 34 and 36''s are about 3 inches too big in the waist and I have to use a belt to cinch them. I bought 34''s and they are snug, but 36''s are too big. These shorts are cut for guys with no butt and are skinny. I''m a soccer player and have bigger legs and a butt. They are snug, but not so much that they are uncomfortable. Light weight and cool, I recommend them to anyone.

The material these shorts are made from are very lightweight. I was looking for something like this and actually these shorts turned out to exceed my expectations. I wanted something light and not take up a lot of room in my suitcase. I wear a size 36 and the size was spot on. I also play a lot of golf in hot humid areas and these shorts are great for hot weather. They might be a little to light for cool nights but that''s what you buy pull-over pants for. I do agree with another reviewer that stated the pockets are not meant for heavy objects or keys. You can''t expect to keep golf tee''s in the pockets either. The pockets are a mesh like design that I believe are designed to allow heat to radiate out and not be captured close to the body. If you want something that looks good, is lightweight and packs easy then these shorts should fit the bill. I liked them.
bought this as a gift for my hubby and he says it is very warm. it is nice thin material so it is easy to layer and I like that it takes up less room in the washer and comes out great.
