ACCUSPLIT AL370 FM Radio Pedometer

ACCUSPLIT AL370 FM Radio PedometerThe pedometer seems to work fine. I find the radio unsatisfactory, however. I also find that it''s too easy to bump a button and make the pedometer talk loudly.

Here are the radio''s flaws:

1) The display on the unit only displays pedometer info (steps/distance/calories/time); it does NOT display radio frequency. Since the radio operates by scanning one button sets the frequency to 88.1 MHz, the other scans up the dial to the next station it finds you have to know when you''ve reached the station you want to listen to, and the only way to do this is by listening. So finding a particular station can be difficult if you don''t know what the station is playing at the moment.

2)The sound quality of the radio is not very good. It is not awful, but I find that occasional words can be hard to make out if I''m listening to the news with background noise around me. And you certainly won''t hear all the nuances of music from this radio.

3) If you walk through an area where there is interference or poor signal for your station, the radio often seems to `go fishing'' for a stronger signal, and sometimes changes to a different, nearby station. When this happens you might have to find your station again, by scanning up the dial from the bottom until you hear the right station.

4) The only volume control on the unit is on the earphone cord. So you can''t replace the included earphones with your favorite headphones unless these also have a volume control.

Finally, the "talking" feature really annoys me. It''s very easy to hit the ''talk'' button unintentionally. When I''m setting the radio, or if the unit gets bumped when clipped to my belt or when stashed in my backpack, it will loudly say "YOU HAVE WALKED 3524 STEPS" or something like that... this will certainly draw attention to you if you''re in class or on the bus when this happens!

This pedometer delivers exactly what it promises. It''s small, lightweight, has a decent radio that hangs on to the station being played, and is remarkably accurate. Love the extra belt clip to prevent dropping and breaking. Have used a lot of small pedometers, with and without radio capability, and like this one the best.

This item is the largest disappointment I have ever had from Amazon and does not deserve to be in their warehouse. I bought it as a gift and the person returned it to me because they could not get it to work properly. I also tried to make it work without success. As a pedometer, it would record steps whether you were walking or just sitting, the time setting recorded to its own whims, and the distance would have been great, had it been accurate. It would claim 1200 steps in 5 minutes and claim a distance of 2.7 miles record setting I believe! It is trashed and replaced. I also wrote to the company for support in fixing the problem, but they chose not to respond because they probably know it can''t be done!!

Badger Sportswear Women''s B-Dry Long Sleeve Performance Tee

Badger Sportswear Women''s B-Dry Long Sleeve Performance Tee, Royal, SmallI took a chance buying this because I live in Australia, but I couldn''t find anything here at the price I wanted to pay. I ordered 3 of these in different colours and they arrived promptly. I was worried about the sleeve length, but I might have shorter arms than others, my arms measure 44.5cm OR 17.5" (give or take 0.5cm/0.2") from armpit to my wrist. The sleeves are definitely full length, they don''t just sit on my wrists but go a little further just resting on the pad of my hand. When I put my arms out in front or stretch up, the sleeves pull back from my wrists about 5cm/2" or so, but that doesn''t bother me since I just pull them down again and I don''t spend much time with my arms that extended. The fabric is great, nice silky look. I got a size large, my measurements being: Waist 90cm/35.4" and Bust 108cm/42.5" and Hips 114cm/44.9" (the top does reach my hips). Wouldn''t want it tighter around my bust (although it''s not super tight) and it''s loose around my waist, but still gives me a figure. The fabric does stretch reasonably. Great cheap product overall!!

Very cute top but on the thin side. Definitely runs on the larger side. Got a medium and even with a 34dd bust was loose. Also a little shiny, much more than under armour tops

Everlast for Her Pilates Twist Board with Resistance Tubing

Everlast for Her Pilates Twist Board with Resistance TubingI workout while watching tv...my husband likes it more than me so we take turns. ;) It''s an easy fun workout, but I wouldn''t recommend it for someone that wants to see results quickly because you wouldn''t get them. Think of it as an additional helper to your other-more rigorous workout.

I''m 5''5" & 115 lbs and I do go to the gym and this mine does have resistance. I just jump on it for a minute and it gets my heart rate up. I also love it because you don''t have to set aside time to do it. You can jump on it at anytime, don''t need special clothes, shoes or gear. Leave it out where you see it & use it whenever you see it.

Try different ways of pulling the straps (the paper that comes with it doesn''t illustrate all the things you can do). Try holding your hands out, facing down & pull up this works the triceps (back of the arm that gets flabby even if your thin) as well as your abs!

I have a box where I keep exercise equiptment that the kids can use whenever they want without supervision. My fitness toy box. This twist board is a nice addition to the toy box. It is good for twisting. Use the resistance tubing for balance when twisting or for curls. The kids, 4 & 10, actually have fun trying to use it. It serves it''s purpose of giving me a good twisting exercise and inspiring the kids to use it. 5 Stars because it is inexpensive and totally usable by my family and me.

This is a great product. It really works on your core. I just started working out with a trainer and she had one and I thought it was a great workout if you do it correctly. She gave me a hint to find a spot on the wall and focus on that so you don''t end up twisting all the way around. Very easy, I do while watching tv.

It''s very effective and inexpensive, it works. You get a good workout when you use this Twist Board with Risistance Tubing. It''s great, you get an upper body workout while twisting. And you start seeing the difference almost immediately. I see my midsection shrinking and I''ve lost inches in just a few weeks of use.

Attitude Ballet and Pilates Fusion with Bernadette Giorgi

Attitude Ballet and Pilates Fusion with Bernadette GiorgiThe only reason I give this DVD 4 stars instead of 5 is because I have to be in the mood for it. But when I''m in the mood, it rates 6 stars.

I agree with all of Amazon Fan''s comments, particularly that it is somewhat similar to Element Ballet but more "forgiving." However, whenever I reach for Attitude and that''s usually on a day when I''m suffering a tension headache or am just too tired for cardio it relaxes and renews me. After some hard work, that is. I pop it in and start relaxing to the soft music and Bernadette''s whispery, gentle instructions then suddenly realize I''ve broken a mild sweat and my legs are trembling. The addition of the light weighted ball or handweight for two of the center barre segments and Pilates mat work are a nice change from the ordinary.

A word on the Pilates portions Bernadette assumes you have a bit of background and does not give blow by blow tutorials. Personally, I''m happy about that. I can just flow with these routines and don''t feel that I have to rigidly adhere to barked out instructions. This is a user friendly DVD.

Another good feature is that no ballet barres or special equipment is required not even a chair. This might be a good choice for the home exerciser who wants to add some barre to their crosstrain regimine without making investments in equipment and space. Nicely done.

Although it''s advertised for women over 50 I think anyone seeking an intermediate workout can enjoy it. The workout is similar to the Element: Ballet Conditioning but a wee bit more forgiving, plus there''s a little more emphasis on arm and upper body strengthening and no plyometric jumping. The pace of the ballet and pilates exercises will benefit your aerobic conditioning because it elevates your heart rate. There are two 40-minute workouts to choose from plus a variety of pre-mixes depending on your interest. A separate chapter demonstrates form pointers. Cuing is clear and the instructor always lets you know what''s coming up next. The only equipment required is a light weight ball (or 1-2 pound dumbbells) and floor mat; shoes are not required. Head-to-toe lengthening and toning, well designed, well cued, well demonstrated, nice music, pleasant instructional tone this video has it all. I also like the little inspirational blurbs that occasionally appear on screen, and I sure hope I look as good as the demonstrators do when I hit 50!

I love this workout. I actually felt like an 8-year-old little girl in her first ballet class. Then the next day, my NOT 8-year-old muscles reminded me that I''d worked out. Love that! Bernadette again uses her soft velvet voice to motivate you and gently boot your behind into action. I am very happy I bought her DVDs, which I did based on other reviews, by the way.

I love Bernadette''s exercise dvd''s. I now have 3 and this one is not as easy as you may think. You are taken through grande plie''s and the ballet positions. The only thing missing is the barre. That would be way to taxing for these old bones! Bernadette uses perfect form in every dvd. I appreciate her calm voice and exact instructions. You workout fluidly without having to listen to a lot of instructions first and get cold. I love this woman!!!

Not realizing this was marketed for "beyond 50", I found this to be appropriate for someone, say in their early 40s who is eager to learn basic ballet, move in a slower, easier pace, and who doesn''t mind being in the company of mature women. The whole production is relaxed and ballet-inspired from Ms. Giorgi''s soothing voice to the piano music. If you are learning ballet, there is a option called "Form Pointers", like a tutorial of the most important positions that you''ll be using.

There are 2 30-minute workouts that both consist of STANDING, CENTER WORK W/RESISTANCE (they used a mini weighted ball), and MAT WORK (also with resistance). In standing work, Ms. Giorgi will lead you through plies, tendus, grand plies, and ballet foot positions. So, know before you go. Center work with resistance consists of multi-step moves such as a plie, bicep curl then a side bend. In mat work, it''s always optional to have resistance. Core work is the focus here by doing Pilates-based sit-ups or roll ups. Even the stretching and warm-up feel like the workout because you continue to move in a fluid fashion with ballet or Pilates.

Body Solid AAB2 Gut-Blaster Slings

Body Solid AAB2 Gut-Blaster SlingsI''ve used other ab slings, but this is the first set that I''ve used that is really comfortable (it is a little wider and thicker than most) allowing you to spend more time and do more exercises with them. Oregon Scientific SW202 Swimming Watch, Black

Oregon Scientific SW202 Swimming Watch, BlackThe description says the watch has a stopwatch and alarm feature but it does not. It is also limited to pool lengths of 25m or 50m no yards and no open water. The buttons are supposed to work at a depth of 1m or less but they rarely work just an inch below the surface. It is bigger and bulkier than I thought it would be and not very comfortable or attractive for use outside of the pool. And last but not least, it does not even display your lap count or distance swam while the counter is active! It shows only your stroke count and measures how long you have been swimming (but don''t stop for more than 30sec or it will time out). The buttons and their labels are frustrating/confusing too. It seems to work okay within all those constraints so I gave it two stars.

The watch DOES NOT SHOW YOU THE LAP / STROKES COUNT DURING THE SWIMMING !

For me the single purpose of such watch is to get "how many laps has I made so far" when I swim a long distance in the pool. But during the swimming it is some pretty useless timer what is shown with no option to switch to laps/strokes display.

This product fails miserably, its advertising is misleading. The lap/strokes is actually counted in background but not shown during the swimming, only when you press Stop button. And when you press Stop and the watch finally shows you number of laps/strokes the counter resets to zero so you could not continue count, only memorize current progress and start the watch counter over. USELESS! WASTE OF MY MONEY!

It''s just unfathomable that they went to the trouble of creating this watch, and not have the default display as the current lap count. The only way you can''t view the lap count is to stop swimming and then stop the counter, once you have done this the lap count and the other statistics such as stroke count and the swim time, all reset back to 0 and you have to start from scratch again. Ridiculous.

-I tried to calibrate it and I followed the directions step by step and somehow the calibration option is invisible because it is not where to be found. In two words, it can not be calibrate it.

-Only works for pools of 25m and 50m so if you have a pool of, lets say, 65m (like my gym does) is totally useless.

-Unable to see how many calories and laps I am doing while swimming

-If you stop for more than 30 sec then you are out of lock because it will reset itself

-Too big and not attractive to use outside the pool so now you would have to buy another watch to use in the office.

Lifeline USA Power Push-Up with DVD

Power Push Up 3 with 60lb CablesI feel that as a fellow consumer, it is my duty to write reviews in order to inform others of my experience with a product, whether it be positive or negative.

In the case of Lifeline''s Power Pushup, the product had a very promising proposition = eliminate the need for a bench/barbell/weights, and replace it all with the Power Pushups! As I wanted to transition to working out 100% at home, this product sounded like a perfect fit for my home gym, since it eliminated the need to purchase bulky equipment. It all sounded too good to be true, and indeed to my dismay, after using it for a solid 2-3 months, I have finally decided to ditch the Power Pushups altogether.

There are a few negatives I would like to cover:

*(1) The Power Pushups doesn''t work the chest in an effective manner. Why? Well, if you can imagine a regular bench press... as you are pressing upwards, the weight is always constant. When your arms are at a right angle with your body, the amount of resistance is the exact same as if your arms were fully extended. This provides full resistance throughout the ENTIRE "pressing" motion.

On the other hand, with the Power Pushups, even though the bands provide full resistance when your arms are fully extended, as soon as you lower your chest to the ground, the resistance drops dramatically to nearly zero. This proves to be a major problem if your goal is to work out your chest. Because as any bodybuilder knows, the most effective "zone" to work out your chest is when your arms are approaching a right angle with your chest -your chest is fully stretched in this position, and if the bands don''t provide extra resistance in this zone, then you are essentially just doing a regular pushup. It doesn''t matter that the Power Pushups provide full resistance when your arms are fully extended because that only works out your triceps -not your chest. In summary, the Power Pushups does not provide constant resistance throughout the full range of the pressing motion, and therefore does not give your chest the proper resistance that it needs.

*(2) Secondly, after a week or two of usage, the bands became considerably "looser" and more elastic. It was plenty obvious that the rubber did not provide the same resistance that it had straight out of the box.

*(3) It may just be a specific problem with me, but after using the Power Pushups for awhile, my shoulder developed slight pain, almost as if my rotator cuffs were being affected. I tried different hand positions (forward/back/closer/wider), and different band positions (higher back, lower back), but the problem still continued. I never had this problem with regular bench presses/pushups, so I''m assuming the Power Pushups were stretching my body in ways that it wasn''t supposed to.

So, some of you are wondering at this point: "how do I work out my chest at home?" If you already hit a plateau in your chest growth and have gotten used to doing regular pushups, then here is my suggestion to you: Grab any backpack, and fill it with bottles of water, a bag of rice/flour, or anything that''s heavy enough to provide resistance. Then wear it on your back and do pushups as you would regularly. Here''s a rough guideline to know if the backpack is "heavy enough": If you can''t do 10 reps, then the weight is too heavy. If you can do more than 10 reps, then the weight is too light. This backpack solution seems simple, but works well because wearing a weighted backpack provides resistance throughout the entire range of motion to your chest, just like how a bench press would.

Good luck, and I hope this review helped you make a more informed decision.

Hey y''all, just wanted to give a little heads up on the power pushup. Awesome product number one. Lifeline USA is really puts out great, quality products. I would have to say that the bands will last for a while, and the equipment has so multi-facet. I say this because you''re getting two lifeline products for the price of one! Well, I made the mistake of buying this product and chest expander. Not mistake as in they aren''t get pieces of equipment. No! What I mean is that the handles that come with the power pushup are exactly the same as the chest expander. Therefore, all you have to do is buy some of the tubes off the lifeline website (for the chest expander) and you got that as well. I think they''re both awesome! buy getting the resistance bands is cheaper. Cool. I''m out

Buy Lifeline USA Power Push-Up with DVD Now

This is good for added resistance for push-ups but the progression to additional bands (the ones included) is quite steep. You might have to buy bands with different resistance in order to progress in lesser increments.

as a 180 lb male in his 30''s that usually bench presses with weights between 200 and 250 lbs

this has been an effective substitute for bench press for me.

I have been looking for a way to avoid the gym and get a decent workout at home and in a safe manner in the morning before work.

With a combination of these power pushups, the lifeline cables with triple grip handles, a set of heavy dumbells, the product known as "the rack", and the product known as "the iron gym" I have managed to get a pretty decent workout at home that hits all muscle groups. For legs, I concentrate on doing one legged calf raises and one legged squats.

It can be done you can get a decent workout at home in your basement even if you dont have a lot of room for equipment.

Yes I was expecting a good fast work-out.What I got was good clean power push ups every time. One thing you get used to is those darn push-ups and the amount of time you have to spend doing them. Well the power push up cuts down on the amount of time and gives increased results. That is right in the shoulder blades and chest right where it counts!
