Wall Mount Dip Station

Wall Mount Dip StationThese dip bars are solid. The steel used to make them is thick and the grips are thick as well. The angle allows you to pick the proper width for your body. When purchasing wall mounted dip bars I was concerned with the distance from the wall and these bars provide ample distance to perform dips. I never feel like I''ll hit my head or legs against the wall. They were easy to install on a block wall in my basement and the feel more solid than a stand alone unit. I highly recommend these bars.

the basic piece of equipment is very substantial... industrial strength steel bars that aren''t going anywhere once installed properly. As others here have noted, the width of the mounting does not match the typical spacing of beams in a home, so you will likely have to put up some 2x4 wood beams first to have something to attach it too. An annoying, but not deal-breaking, feature is that the end caps for the bars are cheap plastic things that quickly fall out and get lost. If you don''t want it full of spiders, you''ll have to stuff a rag or a plastic bag in there.

I''m very happy with this product. The metal tubing is wide enough to be comfortable on the hands. I mounted this outside to my patio post, after installing a special parallel post. I noticed that the predrilled holes are 19" on center, whereas studs are 16" on center; this might be a problem for some installations.

My first impression of this dip station was it was much more solid and well built than I was expecting. The mounting plates are thick metal and the tubing (bars) themselves, particularly the hand grip section, has a decent circumference so they''re comfortable to use. I was a little leery of the flared handgrips as I''d never used that design before, but they''re very comfortable and natural feeling.

My only complaint is the mounting holes are 19" on center, but that fact isn''t mentioned anywhere. If you want to mount them to studs (which are 16" on center), you''ll need to improvise. It would be nice if the manufacturer offered a version with flanges set to 16" for this purpose, but I made it work. Also, it would be nice if they came with foam on the grips, but you can use athletic tape to get extra grip if needed. I use weightlifting gloves when I workout and my grip is fine with them.

Overall, this is a very well built, sturdy and rather heavily constructed apparatus. I love it!

Pearl Izumi Women''s Infinity Windblocking Hoody

Pearl Izumi Women''s Infinity Windblocking Hoody,True Red/White,MediumEarly morning crossfit runs have made this a winner. Warm. Great fit!!! Versatility of the holes and rear pocket is wonderful.

I am not loving this hoodie. I have a lot of PI gear for running and like it a lot, but this one, not at all. I got the cold air coming in from the neck, because it is wider and longer that any other I have, so my shoulders and back started to get cold during my run, never happened to me with any of my other tops, and to be honest, the difference in the two fabric material of this sweatshirt gives it a weird feeling, it is stiff in the front and soft in other areas. I wish I didn''t spend the $$ in this one, because I wont be able to use it much, it is too thick to wear if it is more than 40F and I would be cold in 30F temperatures.

This hoody is perfect for rainy Seattle runs. The cut is perfect. The sleeves are long, it hits right at my hip and the hood stays put if I want it up.

i was concerned that this garment might be too small (usually wear size 6) but it fits ok. at first it felt a little tight across the chest due to the differing amount of flex in the textiles used. the windblock material has a significantly different stretch (or lack thereof) than the remaining fabric. all-in-all this garment is functional; warm, wind-blocking, water-resistant. has nice details like the pony tail port and rear pocket.

ASICS Unisex Old School Jr.

ASICS Unisex Old School Jr., Red, One SizeOverall this was a great product that met the needs of my 12 year old son. He is a beginner at wrestling and I was very surprised at the speed of the shipping. Received the following day from ordering it.

My 9 yr old son is a wrestler, so I got this head gear for him last season. It fits OK, but it''s a little difficult to adjust once it''s on. Sometimes adjustments are needed after he is all geared up, so it was a pain to have to remove it before any fixing could be done. It worked last season, but we bought him a new one for this year.

These do what they are supposed to do but they look really goofy on, especially the blue. I would go ahead and spend a few more bucks to get the hard plastic ones. I ended up buying a new pair for my son after his first wrestling practice once I saw what all the other kids used. We were new to wrestling so I really didn''t know what was what. However they were sturdy and comfortable for a 7 year old.

Brooks Men''s Infiniti Tight

Brooks Men''s Infiniti Tight,Anthracite/Rio Red,X-LargeI bought these in fall 2010 from a local running shop. I only used them a couple times last year and that was in really cold weather (around 20F). They seemed a little thin and not quite up to the task. Then again, I did ask for something thinner when the shop staff asked me what type of material I wanted. Still, not horrible and bearable for that kind of temperature.

This year I have been using them for running and biking.

For running I haven''t used them below 30F yet but they keep me plenty warm around that temperature. In really windy conditions I have paired them with compression underwear and the arrangement is perfect. The extra layer is not even noticeable when running and actually adds a bit more comfort since sometimes the tights themselves feel a little rough on the inside. It''s nothing bad but maybe the underwear is just slightly softer.

Biking has been great with these. I didn''t have to buy a pair of cycling tights when temps got under 55F. They aren''t the most comfortable when worn with cycling shorts but they work well enough and are worth the savings over a tight with a pad in it. I wear them over my cycling shorts and that seems to be the most comfortable. When I tried them under the shorts I had some problems with chafing since they have quite a large seam running down the front of the tight. The seam is not a problem while running and I attribute the occasional chafing to the different angle that is involved while biking. I was also using them during 40-50 mile rides which can result in chafing for any type of tight.

My favorite feature of this tight is the rear pocket. It holds two keys, some cash and my iPod Shuffle with no problems. I can put the Shuffle in just right so I can adjust the volume and skip to the next track without missing a beat. The reflective strips on the legs are very nice and give a little added safety. The zippers seem very well made and show no signs of wear or sticking. The tacky material at the ankle cuff doesn''t seem to work all that well but my ankles are a bit small so I''m sure this wouldn''t be the case for everyone.

I purchased these in a large and they fit very well. I am 5''10"-11" 180 pounds and 32" waist. The length is slightly long for me. They bunch a bit around my ankles but this does not bother me at all. They are very comfortable overall. I have around a 32" inseam so you can go by that if you''re not sure.

These are excellent tights that I really enjoy using. I never thought I''d be using these for running since I always thought people were nuts for wearing such tight clothing during the fall/winter. Now that I''ve gotten into biking this year and slowly getting into running, I am impressed with how these make exercise so much more enjoyable! No more bunched up shorts between my legs!

Thank you and Happy Holidays!

These are a very high quality tights that provide warmth and protection for the cold days of South Texas. Of course I refer to cold as 50-60 degree weather.

I''m generally quite picky about getting tights/legggings though I thought I''d take a chance and get these. I was quite pleasantly surprised by the comfort. Living in Alaska, temperatures during the summer can be quite warm but also can be cool. This was perfect for my summer time runs. I hightly recommend this product.

I had to send this back because I ordered Men''s and the item that came was for women. I was unable to determine the problem or correct the order so I returned for a refund and purchased something else elsewhere. I think this item has an item number that is incorrect.

Best Fitness Elliptical Crosstrainer

Best Fitness Elliptical CrosstrainerI will say this first, as it may exclude this purchase for several prospective buyers, I''m barely 5''6" and the stride length is bordering on to short for me. It works and at this low price I am still pleased with the purchase; however, I would not recommend this to anyone more than an inch taller than me. The package arrived in a timely manner; however, I''m glad I don''t need to return it because the idea of taking the components out of an intact box is completely unfeasible. I had to completely cut down one side of the box. Assembly was doable, but the instructions have several mistakes. It tells you over and over to complete steps in the order they are listed however; you will find that if you listen to them you will end up undoing steps to go back and do something else that needed to be done first. Read each page of instructions and decide for yourself what makes the most sense. I put it together myself, but there were several steps where an extra set of hands would have made it much easier. All in all not bad, of course it''s a lot easier to say that now that I''m done.

I love it. I use it everyday. It was quite hard to put together, but with some team work and muscle it got put together and works great!

We received our Best Fitness Elliptical Crosstrainer yesterday and my husband assembled it. He read the instructions all the way through before starting and would strongly recommend that tactic. He noted that some of the hardware was packed separately, while some was already on the pieces where it would end up being used, so try looking on the parts if you can''t find the hardware.

My husband and I are both 5''10" & my son is 5''2" and the stride length was comfortable for all 3 of us. The stride length is not adjustable.

The machine is as compact as advertised. We are leaving set up so it can be used at any time and it takes up 5 x 3 feet of ''working'' space. The motion is fluid & easy.

The control panel is LCD and is not back-lit. When I stand on the floor, I can see everything just fine, but when I am up on the machine the angle of the control panel causes the numbers to be more difficult to see. I think this problem can be solved by adding a small light in the area where we have it set up. I also think that this may not be an issue for everyone-it may depend a lot on how well-lit the area the machine is set up in is and how tall the user is.

According to the manual, the weight limit for the machine is 250 lbs. I weigh around 225 and it felt stable and safe when I was using it.

The control panel is basic (which is what I expected). You can set time, distance, & calorie burn goals and the machine will beep as you hit each of your targets. You can measure your heart rate. There is a built in BMI/BMR calculator that up to 8 people can use. However, other than the data that is entered for that calculation, the control panel cannot track workouts over time, link a workout to a particular user, nor does it have variable programed workouts like I have seen on some equipment. This is what I was expecting, but may not be completely clear from the product description.

It would have been helpful if instructions on how to open the box & unload the pieces were printed on the outside of the box, rather than being buried on a sheet of paper in the bottom of the box. The machine came with all parts bundled together in a block with styrofoam end caps. We found it easiest to lift both the outer and inner box off of the block of parts, rather than trying to unpack individual parts while they were still in the box. It was very helpful to have 2 people for that part of the process.

Overall I feel like the product met my expectations, it was fairly straightforward for my husband to assemble. He strongly recommends taking the time to fully read all instructions before attempting the installation. The machine is easy to use, fits in the space that we had set up for it, and met our expectations based on the product description. I felt this was a good value for the $400.00 sale price.

Now we just need to use it :)

This elliptical is good for the price. As I am only 5''3", the stride works perfectly for me. The only con I have is the handle bars they''re too long. A little hard to assemble, but it''s doable ( just read the manual & assess the steps ).

j/fit Anti-Burst Exercise Ball

j/fit 65cm Anti-Burst Gym BallThis is a great quality ball, just like the one I use at the gym. The purple color was pretty much as pictured and I didn''t have any problems with the smell as previous reviews have stated. The pump quality does not match the ball quality. I would use a double action or better pump, otherwise it takes forever. The extra money for this ball is well worth the quality. I am happy with my purchase.

Purchased 3. All are holding their air well. Smaller than I would have wanted for my ofice chair replacement but the size is right for my height. Would reccommend getting a higher volume pump. TIP: When inserting the plug, moisten it first, creates a better seal.

When I told my stability ball fitness instructor that I wanted to buy an exercise ball for home use, she told me to make sure I got a 65cm, anti-burst (burst resistant) ball. I am 5''6" but have long legs and a 65cm seems to be the perfect size. When properly inflated, it gives me the recommended 90 degree angle in both hip and knee joints. After researching quite a few, and reading many reviews, I chose the J/Fit 65cm anti-burst ball. Inflation issues seemed to be a common theme from many reviewers, so I followed the advice of several and partially inflated the ball, let it rest overnight, inflated it some more, let it rest overnight (at this point it had reached 65cm but was too soft for proper use). I finished inflating the ball on the third day. I was surprised to find that the ball had now reached 75cm, was not too firm or soft, but my hip and knee flexion were both greater than the recommended 90 degrees. I tried using it with a stability ball exercise video but it was cumbersome and uncomfortable to work with, obviously the wrong size for me. I have returned it and plan on purchasing a 55cm J/Fit ball. If what happened to me with the larger ball holds true with the 55cm, I believe that it will inflate to the 65cm that I need. I am sticking with J/Fit because it was a sturdy ball, built as tough as those at the fitness center. I also will stay with J/Fit as exercise balls from other manufacturers may yield different results when inflated.

SPRI Ultra Toner

SPRI Ultra TonerThis toner band is, like most, very functional and pretty versatile if you use your imagination just a bit. You can do lots of different exercises for various parts of the body with it. This one is sturdy and probably has a good mid-level tension for most people doing multiple reps. For me, the only thing keeping this from being 5 stars is the grips. The grips need to be more rigid so they hold their shape when you pull hard on them. Other than that, they''re really good.

This is the perfect thing for traveling... Lightweight with great tension. Very packable and versatile when you just need to get a quick sweat on in the morning.
